पश्चिम मध्य रेलवे ने तिरुअनंतपुरम सेंट्रल-हजरत निजामुद्दीन राजधानी एक्सप्रेस में लगी आग की घटना की जांच के लिए उच्च प्रशासनिक स्तर की जांच समिति गठित की है। मध्य प्रदेश के लूणी रिच्छा और विक्रमगढ़ आलोट स्टेशनों के बीच रेलगाडी के एक यात्री डिब्बे, सामान रखने वाले डिब्बे और जनरेटर वाले डिब्बे में आग लग गयी थी। भारतीय रेलवे ने बताया कि समिति को निर्धारित समय के भीतर जांच पूरी करने का निर्देश दिया गया है। समिति घटना के कारणों, तकनीकी पहलुओं और सुरक्षा मानकों की विस्तृत जांच करेगी, जिससे भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं को रोका जा सके।

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has allocated portfolios to the newly inducted and promoted ministers of his cabinet.
The portfolio distribution follows the second cabinet expansion of the government, which took place on May 10. During the reshuffle, two cabinet ministers and four ministers of state were inducted into the government, while two ministers of state were elevated to ministers of state with independent charge.
Among the newly inducted cabinet ministers, former BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary was assigned the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department. Manoj Kumar Pandey, a former Samajwadi Party leader who rebelled against his party, was allotted the food and civil supplies department.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the Southwest Monsoon is likely to set in over Keralam on 26th of this month, six days ahead of its normal date of June 1. Our correspondent reports that conditions are favorable for the southwest monsoon to advance into more parts of the southeast Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, Andaman Islands, and Andaman Sea over the next two to three days.

दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने कल राष्ट्रीय राजधानी के द्वारका विधानसभा क्षेत्र में लगभग 100 करोड़ रुपये की विभिन्न विकास परियोजनाओं का शुभारंभ किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने सभा को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि इन परियोजनाओं के पूरा होने के बाद क्षेत्र में जलभराव, खराब सड़कों, सीवर ओवरफ्लो और बिजली आपूर्ति जैसी समस्याओं में काफी सुधार होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इसके साथ ही, नागरिकों को एक अधिक सुरक्षित, स्वच्छ और सुविधाजनक वातावरण मिलेगा। इन परियोजनाओं में विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में सड़कों की मरम्मत और निर्माण, चौपालों का नवीनीकरण और आधुनिकीकरण, जल निकासी व्यवस्था को सुदृढ़ करने के व्यापक कार्य तथा पार्कों का सौंदर्यीकरण और हरित विकास शामिल हैं।

दिल्ली पुलिस की अपराध शाखा ने कनाडा की नागरिकता दिलाने की एवज मे लगभग एक करोड़ 80 लाख रुपये की धोखाधड़ी करने के आरोप मे एक अप्रवासन सलाहकार को गिरफ़्तार किया है। पुलिस के अनुसार आरोपी ने एक महिला से कनाडा की नागरिकता दिलाने का झूठा वायदा कर यह रकम हड़पी थी। पुलिस ने आरोपी के पास से एक लैपटॉप बरामद किया है जिसमें महत्वपूर्ण डिजिटल सबूत, वित्तीय लेनदेन के रिकॉर्ड, प्रवास से संबंधित दस्तावेज, सोशल मीडिया चैट और मामले से संबंधित अन्य जानकारी होने की आशंका है।
वहीं, एक अन्य कार्रवाई में दिल्ली पुलिस के बाहरी जिला की विशेष इकाई ने मादक पदार्थ तस्करी के मामले में एक आरोपी को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने आरोपी के पास से लगभग आठ किलोग्राम का मादक पदार्थ बरामद किया है। मामले में आगे की जांच जारी है।

In Chennai ,libraries across the city have different sessions apart from reading activity. The sessions are part of theDirectorate of Public Libraries Summer outreach programme aimed at keeping children engaged through activities that do not involve screen time and sparking an interest in libraries. The district library officer M.Kavitha said that the programs are being held a t 18 full time libraries in the city. Libraries decide the schedule and activities for the day and coordinate with school head and local residents to ensure participation. All activities are being held in coordination with the readers’ circles which also contribute financially. The Government has been providing up to Rs. 5000 per library for refreshments for the students.

मुंबई-अहमदाबाद बुलेट ट्रेन कॉरिडोर के लिए भारत की सबसे बड़ी रेल परियोजना में तैनात की जाने वाली सुरंग खोदने वाली मशीन-टीबीएम का कटर हेड मुंबई के विक्रोली शाफ्ट में सफलतापूर्वक उतारा गया है। केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव द्वारा सोशल मीडिया पर साझा किए गए एक वीडियो में, इस उपलब्धि को देश की पहली हाई-स्पीड रेल परियोजना में एक महत्वपूर्ण मील का पत्थर बताया गया है। 350 टन वजनी और 13 दशमलव 6 मीटर व्यास वाले इस कटर हेड में 84 कटर डिस्क, 124 स्क्रैपर और 16 बकेट लिप्स लगे हैं। यह मशीन सुरंग खोदने के दौरान चट्टानों की खुदाई करने और मलबे को कुशलतापूर्वक हटाने के लिए डिज़ाइन की गई है। मुंबई-अहमदाबाद बुलेट ट्रेन परियोजना में बांद्रा-कुर्ला कॉम्प्लेक्स और शिल फाटा के बीच 21 किलोमीटर लंबी सुरंग शामिल है, जिसमें ठाणे क्रीक के नीचे भारत की पहली 7 किलोमीटर लंबी समुद्री रेल सुरंग भी शामिल है। सुरंग की कुल लंबाई में से 5 किलोमीटर की खुदाई पहले ही न्यू ऑस्ट्रियन टनलिंग मेथड का उपयोग करके की जा चुकी है, जबकि शेष 16 किलोमीटर की खुदाई टनल बोरिंग मशीनों का उपयोग करके की जाएगी।

पुलिस अधिकारी ने रविवार को बताया कि पालघर जिले में फर्जी विकलांगता प्रमाण पत्र का इस्तेमाल करके जिला परिषद की नौकरी हासिल करने के आरोप में एक महिला को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। महिला ने अगस्त 2023 के सीधे भर्ती विज्ञापन के तहत ग्रुप सी प्रयोगशाला तकनीशियन पद के लिए आवेदन किया था और धुले के एक सरकारी चिकित्सा संस्थान द्वारा जारी किया गया कथित विकलांगता प्रमाण पत्र जमा किया था। पुलिस के अनुसार, उसने ‘दिव्यांग’ (बधिर/कम सुनने वाले) श्रेणी में मेरिट सूची में शीर्ष स्थान प्राप्त किया था। धुले स्थित श्री भाऊसाहेब हीरे सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेज और जनरल अस्पताल के डीन के प्रारंभिक सत्यापन पत्र के आधार पर, उसे अक्टूबर 2024 में नियुक्ति पत्र जारी किया गया और चिंचानी प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में तैनात किया गया। हालांकि, दिसंबर 2024 में, अस्पताल ने एक पत्र जारी कर कहा कि प्रमाण पत्र आधिकारिक मेडिकल बोर्ड से प्रमाणित नहीं हुआ था, जिसके बाद पालघर जिला परिषद के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी ने पिछले साल 10 जून को उसकी सेवा समाप्त कर दी। स्वास्थ्य सहायक प्रशासनिक अधिकारी मोनिका द्वारकानाथ राउत की शिकायत के बाद पुलिस में मामला दर्ज किया गया और महिला को 12 मई को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। उसे चार दिन की पुलिस हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है।

BENGALURU
The Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw virtually flagged off the new SMVT Bengaluru- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Bi Weekly Express train today. Addressing the event organised in Bengaluru, he announced the Vande Bharat Sleeper service between Bengaluru and Mumbai soon. He suggested a rail based mass transit system to solve the congestion and mobility challenges in Bengaluru. The railway minister noted that the suburban rail network approved by the Central Government for Bengaluru will integrate the metro system, airport, major railway stations and key IT hubs including Electronic City, Hebbal and Whitefield, which will be a game changer for Bengaluru’s transportation ecosystem. Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna said that 12 pairs of Vande Bharat trains operate in Karnataka covering 14 districts. He said a Vande Bharat Sleeper maintenance depot will come up at Thanisandra at a cost of 270 crore rupees and a chair car maintenance facility will come up at SMVT at a cost of over 53 crore rupees.

इसके अतिरिक्त, मुख्यमंत्री, वर्तमान मुख्य सचिव मनोज कुमार अग्रवाल, पूर्व मुख्य सचिव नंदिनी चक्रवर्ती और सीमा सुरक्षा बल-बीएसएफ के अधिकारियों के साथ अलग से बैठक कर सकते हैं। इस बैठक में भारत-बांग्लादेश सीमा पर बाड़बंदी और चौकियों के निर्माण के लिए बीएसएफ को 45 दिनों के भीतर जमीन सौंपने के पूर्व निर्णय की समीक्षा की जाएगी। दोपहर बाद, मुख्यमंत्री कोलकाता के अलीपुर स्थित धन धान्यों सभागार में इस वर्ष की माध्यमिक, उच्च माध्यमिक, सीबीएसई और आईसीएसई परीक्षाओं में सफल हुए विद्यार्थियों को सम्मानित करने के कार्यक्रम में शामिल होंगे।

Gustav Mahler was an Austro-Bohemian Romantic composer, and one of the leading conductors of his generation.
As a composer he acted as a bridge between the 19th century Austro-German tradition and the modernism of the early 20th century.
While in his lifetime his status as a conductor was established beyond question, his own music gained wide popularity only after periods of relative neglect, which included a ban on its performance in much of Europe during the Nazi era.
After 1945, his compositions were rediscovered by a new generation of listeners; Mahler then became one of the most frequently performed and recorded composers, a position he has sustained into the 21st century.
In 2016, a BBC Music Magazine survey of 151 conductors ranked three of his symphonies in the top ten symphonies of all time. Heres Gustav mahlar’s symphony 2 in c minor.
आज पुण्यतिथि है मुकुन्द दास की। उनका जन्म- 22 फ़रवरी, 1878 को ढाका बंगाल में हुआ था। (मृत्यु- 18 मई, 1934) वे बांग्ला भाषा के कवि, गीतकार, संगीतकार और देशभक्त थे। उन्होने ग्रामीण स्वदेशी आंदोलन के प्रसार में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया था। सन 1905 में अश्विनी कुमार दत्त ने बंगाल के प्रस्तावित विभाजन के खिलाफ बारीसाल टाउन हॉल में एक प्रेरक भाषण दिया था। संदेश को दूर-दूर तक फैलाने की आवश्यकता पर बल देते हुए उन्होंने कामना की कि नाटकों और नाटकों के माध्यम से नेताओं के संदेश को गांवों तक पहुंचाया जा सके। तब मुकुन्द दास अश्विनी कुमार दत्त के भाषण से बहुत प्रभावित हुए थे। उन्होंने महान देशभक्त की इच्छा को पूरा करने का संकल्प लिया। तीन महीने के भीतर मुकुन्द दास ने अपनी उत्कृष्ट कृति ‘मातृपूजा’ की रचना की। उनके नाटक का प्राथमिक विषय देशभक्ति और स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन था। स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन का लक्ष्य भारतमाता को ब्रिटिश साम्राज्यवाद के जुए से मुक्त कराना था।
Pope John Paul II was born on 18 th May 1920, was head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State from 1978 to 2005. John Paul II significantly improved the Catholic Church’s relations with Judaism, Islam, and the Eastern Orthodox Church.He upheld the Church’s teachings on such matters as the right to life, artificial contraception, the ordination of women, and a celibate clergy, and although he supported the reforms of the Second Vatican Council, he was seen as generally conservative in their interpretation.He was one of the most travelled world leaders in history, visiting 129 countries during his pontificate.
आज पुण्यतिथि है पंचानन माहेश्वरी की l उनका जन्म: 9 नवम्बर, 1904 को जयपुर मे हुआ था l (मृत्यु: 18 मई, 1966 दिल्ली) वे सुप्रसिद्ध वनस्पति विज्ञानी थे। भ्रूणविज्ञान और पादप क्रियाविज्ञान के सम्मिश्रण से इन्होंने एक नई शाखा का विकास किया। टिशू कल्चर प्रयोगशाला की स्थापना तथा टेस्ट ट्यूब कल्चर पर शोध के लिए लंदन की रॉयल सोसाइटी ने पंचानन माहेश्वरी को अपना फैलो बनाकर सम्मानित किया।

George Strait is known as the “King of Country” and is considered one of the most influential and popular recording artists of all time.
He is known for his neotraditionalist country style, cowboy look, and being one of the first and main country artists to bring country music back to its roots and away from the pop country era in the 1980s. Strait’s success began when his first single “Unwound” was a hit in 1981.
During the 1980s, seven of his albums reached number one on the country charts.In the 2000s, Strait was named Artist of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music, was elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and won his first Grammy award for the album Troubadour.
आज पुण्यतिथि है रीमा लागू की l उनका जन्म- 3 फ़रवरी, 1958 को हुआ था l ( मृत्यु- 18 मई, 2017, मुम्बई) हिन्दी फ़िल्मों की शानदार अभिनेत्री थीं। उन्हें मुख्यत:फ़िल्मों में माँ की भूमिकाएँ निभाने के लिए जाना जाता है। फ़िल्म ‘मैंने प्यार किया’ की साथिन माँ हो या ‘वास्तव’ की कठोर माँ या फिर ‘ये दिल्लगी’ की मालिकाना माँ, रीमा लागू की इन भूमिकाओं का कोई सानी नहीं था। उन्होंने नए जमाने की माँ की भूमिकाओं को खूब चरितार्थ किया। ‘आशिकी’, ‘साजन’, ‘हम आपके हैं कौन’, ‘मैंने प्यार किया, ‘वास्तव’, ‘कुछ कुछ होता है’ और ‘हम साथ साथ हैं’ जैसी कई फ़िल्मों में रीमा ने माँ का जीवंत किरदार निभाया। उन्होंने सलमान ख़ान के लिए कई फ़िल्मों में उनकी माँ की भूमिका निभाई। टीवी सीरियल ‘तू तू मैं मैं’ में वह सास के किरदार में थीं। फ़िल्मफेयर सर्वश्रेष्ठ सहायक अभिनेत्री का पुरस्कार चार बार जीत चुकी हैं l

आज जयंती है नरेश मित्रा की l उनका जन्म 18 मई 1888 को ब्रिटिश भारत के त्रिपुरा के अगरतला में हुआ था। उन्होंने कलकत्ता विश्वविद्यालय से कानून की पढ़ाई की। उन्होंने 1922 में मिनर्वा थिएटर में अपने अभिनय करियर की शुरुआत की। 1923 में, मित्रा कोलकाता के स्टार थिएटर में शामिल हुए और कई नाटकों में अभिनय किया, जिनमें से अधिकांश में उन्होंने खलनायक की भूमिका निभाई। उन्होंने ताज महल कंपनी, ईस्ट इंडिया फिल्म और काली फिल्म्स की कई फिल्मों में काम किया और अभिनय किया।मित्रा ने 1928 में ईस्टर्न फिल्म सिंडिकेट द्वारा निर्मित देवदास के मूक संस्करण का निर्देशन किया। यह शरतचंद्र चट्टोपाध्याय के उपन्यास देवदास का पहला फिल्म रूपांतरण था।उन्होंने उत्तम कुमार अभिनीत कुछ फिल्मों का निर्देशन किया, जैसे बौ ठाकुरानीर हाट, अन्नपूर्णर मंदिर।मित्रा बंगाल के लोक नाट्य जात्रा से भी जुड़े थे। उनके द्वारा निर्देशित फिल्म बौ ठाकुरानीर हाट रवींद्र नाथ टैगोर के उपन्यास पर आधारित थी l आइये सुनते हैं बौ ठाकुरानीर हाट का यह गीत..

Omar Khayyam 18 May 1048 – 4 December 1131) was a Persian mathematician, astronomer, and poet. He was born in Nishapur, in northeastern Iran, and spent most of his life near the court of the Karakhanid and Seljuq rulers in the period which witnessed the First Crusade. As a mathematician, he is most notable for his work on the classification and solution of cubic equations, where he provided geometric solutions by the intersection of conics. As an astronomer, he designed the Jalali calendar, a solar calendar with a very precise 33-year intercalation cycle. There is a tradition of attributing poetry to Omar Khayyam, composed in quatrains.
