In Keralam, the Congress led UDF has clinched a decisive win. While the Congress won 63 seats, its ally IUML added 22, giving the alliance a dominant edge across the state. On the other hand, the BJP, which had no representation in the Assembly, has secured three seats this time. BJP State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar secured a stunning victory from Nemom in Thiruvananthapuram.

 

         

In Tamil Nadu, actor-turned-politician Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, TVK has created history emerging as the single largest party after winning 108 seats in the first election contested after its formation. TVK Chief C Joseph Vijay won both Perambur and Tiruchy East seats. In the 234-member Assembly, the ruling DMK secured 59 seats, while its main rival, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, won 47 seats. Chief Minister M. K. Stalin lost to TVK candidate V. S. Babu at Kolathur in Chennai by a margin of around 8,700 votes.

 

         

Our Correspondent reports, TVK Chief Vijay will be the next Chief Minister of state soon. The party is falling short of 10 seats for the majority to form the government.

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar held a meeting with his Jamaican counterpart Kamina Johnson Smith along with other Cabinet Ministers of the country. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said that during the meeting, they reviewed various facets of the partnership between India and Jamaica. They also deliberated on taking forward ties in education, health, agriculture, digital tourism, sports, entertainment, infrastructure, capacity building and multilateral issues.

 

         

Dr Jaishankar also interacted with Jamaica’s industry and business leaders. He emphasized that the imperative to deepen India-Jamaica business ties is that much stronger as countries across the globe diversify and seek reliable partners.

ईरान के ड्रोन हमले के बाद कल फुजैराह तेल उद्योग क्षेत्र में भीषण आग लग गई।  पिछले महीने युद्धविराम लागू होने के बाद से संयुक्त अरब अमीरात पर यह पहला हमला है जिसमें भारी नुकसान हुआ है। इस हमले में तीन भारतीय नागरिकों को मामूली चोटें आईं और उन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। अबू धाबी में भारतीय दूतावास ने कहा कि प्रभावित लोगों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए वह स्थानीय अधिकारियों के संपर्क में है।

 

           

अमरीका के राष्ट्रपति डॉनल्ड ट्रंप ने चेतावनी दी है कि अगर ईरान अमरीका के जहाजों को निशाना बनाता है तो उसे गंभीर परिणाम भुगतने होंगे। उनकी यह टिप्पणी संयुक्त अरब अमीरात पर ईरान के हमले की खबरों के बाद आई है। वाशिंगटन के अनुसार अमरीकी सेना ने जलडमरूमध्य में सात ईरानी नौकाओं पर हमला किया है। अमरीकी केंद्रीय कमान – सेंटकॉम ने कहा कि जहाजों को नष्ट करने के अभियान में हेलीकॉप्टरों का इस्तेमाल किया गया था। हालांकि, ईरान ने अभी तक इन दावों पर कोई प्रतिक्रिया नहीं दी है।

 

           

ये हमले अमरीका द्वारा “प्रोजेक्ट फ्रीडम” कहे जाने वाले अभियान का हिस्सा हैं।

Chasing the target of 229 set by Lucknow Super Giants Mumbai overhauled the score 18.4 overs losing four wickets. दिल्ली पुलिस की अपराध शाखा ने मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी के मामले में पश्चिमी दिल्‍ली से एक आरोपी को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस के अनुसार, आरोपी के पास से लगभग तीन किलोग्राम मादक पदार्थ बरामद किया गया है। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि आरोपी का पहले भी आपराधिक इतिहास रहा है। पुलिस ने बताया कि इस नेटवर्क से जुड़े अन्य व्यक्तियों की पहचान के लिए आगे की जांच जारी है।

दिल्ली यातायात पुलिस ने बताया कि कल दिल्ली कैपिटल्स और चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स के बीच होने वाले आईपीएल मैच के चलते राजधानी के अरुण जेटली स्टेडियम के आसपास के क्षेत्र में यातायात प्रभावित रहेगा।

 

           

यातायात पुलिस के अनुसार शाम 5 बजे से रात 12 बजे तक बहादुर शाह ज़फर मार्ग, जवाहरलाल नेहरू मार्ग और आसफ अली रोड पर भारी जाम रहने की संभावना है। इन मार्गों पर व्यावसायिक वाहनों की आवाजाही पर प्रतिबंध रहेगा, स्टेडियम के आसपास केवल अधिकृत लेबल वाले वाहनों को पार्किंग मिलेगी, जिसमें वाहन संख्या और चालक का मोबाइल नंबर अंकित होना अनिवार्य है।

Tamilnadu Engineering admissions committee opened applications for engineering admissions counselling. Class 12 students can apply for counselling till 2nd June. According to the admissions schedule, the engineering rank list will be released on 29th June. Online engineering counselling is likely to be conducted in July. TNEA said that the counselling dates will be updated after getting approval from All India Council for Technical Education. Candidates will be assigned a random number on 5th June. Certificate verification will be done from 8th to 20th June. State board Class 12 exam results are scheduled to be released on 8th May while the CBSE results are likely in the third week of May.

नवनियुक्त जापानी वाणिज्य दूताधिकारी सातो हितोमी ने सोमवार को महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल जिष्णु देव वर्मा से मुलाकात की और विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में सहयोग बढ़ाने पर चर्चा की। हितोमी ने कहा कि 2027 में भारत-जापान राजनयिक संबंधों के 75 वर्ष पूरे हो जाएंगे, जिसके उपलक्ष्य में कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे। दोनों पक्षों ने मेट्रो और हाई-स्पीड रेल सहित बुनियादी ढांचे में सहयोग पर जोर दिया और शिक्षा, कौशल और संस्कृति के क्षेत्र में संबंधों को विस्तार देने पर चर्चा की। राज्यपाल ने शैक्षणिक सहयोग और भाषा विनिमय पहलों को बढ़ावा देने का आह्वान किया।

The Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bengaluru will host the second edition of Namma Art Bengaluru from May 6 to 10th. The national art fair, envisioned as a platform for contemporary and traditional works, will transform this premier fine art campus into a hub for artists and enthusiasts. The Chairperson and MD of Kirloskar Systems Geetanjali Vikram Kirloskar, Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan K G Raghavan, art historian Ashrafi S Bhagat and art collector Rahul Baswani will inaugurate Namma Art Bengaluru programme on May 6th evening. Over 150 artists from across India will exhibit their works in dedicated booths spread across the campus. A centrepiece of the fair is a specially curated exhibition by art historian Lina Vincent, titled Mapping Periphery and Centre: A Pan India dialogue. She has curated the works of over 70 senior master artists. The theme explores the complex relationships between geographical and cultural centres and peripheries through personal mapping, memory and landscape.

Telangana’s Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has ordered an urgent expansion of paddy procurement operations due to unseasonal rains threatening the harvest. So far, the state has procured 14.80 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from 1.84 lakh farmers. Over Rs 2,001 crores have been paid to farmers’ accounts. All 8,575 paddy procurement centres are fully operational across the state. Heavy rains and strong winds have damaged paddy stocks in several districts including Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, and Khammam. The Minister directed officials to protect farmers’ produce by immediately covering stocks with tarpaulins. Wet paddy will be shifted to parboiled rice mills to prevent total loss. The government has arranged intermediate storage capacity of 16 lakh metric tonnes as a backup.

Karl Marx (5 May 1818 – 14 March 1883) was a German philosopher, social and political theorist, economist, historian, journalist, and revolutionary socialist. He developed the theory of historical materialism, analyzing class struggle under capitalism and predicting the system’s overthrow by the proletariat in favor of communism. Marx co-authored The Communist Manifesto with his lifelong friend Friedrich Engels, and undertook a critique of classical political economy in his magnum opus, Das Kapital. Marx’s ideas and their subsequent development, collectively known as Marxism, have had enormous influence and have influenced revolutionary movements in many countries.

 

         

His political and philosophical thought had enormous influence on subsequent intellectual, economic and political history, and his name has been used as an adjective, a noun and a school of social theory. Marx’s critical theories about society, economics and politics – collectively understood as Marxism – hold that human societies develop through class struggle.
