प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा है कि लोकसभा और राज्य विधानसभाओं में महिलाओं को 33 प्रतिशत आरक्षण देने वाले 2023 में पारित कानून को 2029 से लागू करवाने के लिए संसद का बजट सत्र तीन दिन बढ़ा दिया गया है।
केरलम के तिरुवल्ला में एक चुनावी रैली में श्री मोदी ने कहा कि बजट सत्र 16, 17 और 18 अप्रैल को फिर आयोजित होगा। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि सरकार यह सुनिश्चित करेगी कि केरलम, तमिलनाडु, कर्नाटक, आंध्र प्रदेश, गोवा और तेलंगाना में लोकसभा सीट की संख्या में कोई कमी न हो। प्रधानमंत्री ने सभी दलों से महिला सशक्तिकरण से जुड़े इस मुद्दे का पूर्ण समर्थन करने का आग्रह भी किया। प्रधानमंत्री ने यह भी कहा कि महिला प्रतिनिधियों की संख्या बढ़ाने की आवश्यकता को ध्यान में रखते हुए, नारी शक्ति वंदन कानून में संशोधन भी किए जाएंगे।

A total of 345 Indian fishermen stranded in Iran amid the ongoing West Asia conflict arrived safely in Chennai yesterday evening after being evacuated through Armenia. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the fishermen were brought back as part of India’s continued efforts to ensure the safety of its nationals in the conflict-affected region. Earlier in the day, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, in a social media post, expressed gratitude to the Armenian government for facilitating the evacuation and thanked his counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan for enabling the safe transit of Indian nationals from Iran to India amid the conflict.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has informed that the data submission process for QS World Rankings 2027 has begun. In an official letter, the UGC requested all eligible Higher Educational Institutions to submit the required institutional data, including sustainability related information, through the QS Hub Portal before 12th of April, for appropriate representation in the global rankings.
The QS World University Rankings, compiled by Quacquarelli Symonds, are a leading global assessment of higher education institutions, focusing on academic excellence, employability, research impact, and internationalization.

सीमा सड़क संगठन- बी.आर.ओ. की चेतक परियोजना ने कल राजस्थान के बीकानेर में अपना 47वां स्थापना दिवस मनाया। रक्षा मंत्रालय ने एक बयान में कहा कि 1980 में आज ही के दिन स्थापित इस परियोजना ने राजस्थान, पंजाब और उत्तरी गुजरात में बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास और रखरखाव में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। मंत्रालय ने यह भी कहा कि बीआरओ द्वारा निर्मित बुनियादी ढांचा सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों को जोड़ने के साथ-साथ राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा और क्षेत्रीय विकास में भी योगदान दे रहा है।

He said that despite receiving substantial devolution from the Centre including additional funds of Rs.80 thousand crore during Narendra Modi led Government’s tenure.

राष्ट्रीय राजधानी के जवाहरलाल नेहरू स्टेडियम में आज आयोजित पीएनबी सोल्जरथॉन हाफ मैराथन के कारण सुबह साढ़े 5 बजे से दक्षिण दिल्ली के कई प्रमुख मार्गों पर यातायात डायवर्जन और प्रतिबंध लागू हैं। दिल्ली यातायात पुलिस के अनुसार, मेहरचंद मार्केट, कोटला रेड लाइट, जोर बाग क्रॉसिंग और लाला लाजपत राय कट समेत कई स्थानों पर गाडि़यों को डायवर्ट किया जा रहा है। वहीं, बी.पी. मार्ग और लोधी रोड पर सुबह 5 बजे से 10 बजे तक भारी वाहनों की आवाजाही प्रतिबंधित रहेगी। बी.पी. मार्ग, सीजीओ कॉम्प्लेक्स रोड और आसपास के इलाकों में जाम की आशंका भी जताई गई है। आपातकालीन वाहनों को आवागमन की अनुमति होगी, लेकिन उन्हें भी भीड़भाड़ वाले मार्गों से बचने की सलाह दी गई है। यात्रियों को प्रभावित मार्गों से बचने, समय से पहले यात्रा की योजना बनाने और सार्वजनिक परिवहन का उपयोग करने की सलाह दी गई है।

दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने कहा है कि राजधानी में एलपीजी की आपूर्ति पूरी तरह स्थिर है और किसी प्रकार की कोई कमी नहीं है। मुख्यमंत्री ने लोगों से अफवाहों पर ध्यान न देने और घबराहट में गैस एजेंसियों पर भीड़ न लगाने की अपील की है। श्रीमती गुप्ता ने बताया कि 3 अप्रैल को दिल्ली भर में कुल एक लाख 11 हजार से अधिक एलपीजी बुकिंग दर्ज की गईं, जबकि तीनों ऑयल मार्केटिंग कंपनियों द्वारा मिलकर एक लाख 26 हजार से अधिक सिलेंडरों की डिलीवरी की गई, जो बुकिंग से काफी अधिक है। उन्होंने कहा कि इससे यह स्पष्ट होता है कि लंबित बैकलॉग को तेजी से खत्म किया जा रहा है और आपूर्ति श्रृंखला सुचारू रूप से काम कर रही है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कालाबाजारी और जमाखोरी पर रोक के लिए सरकार ने कंट्रोल रूम स्थापित किया है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार निर्बाध एलपीजी आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध है।

The Bengaluru North City Corporation is actively removing dry and dangerous trees and branches across its jurisdiction to ensure public safety, said Commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar. The drive aims to prevent accidents during heavy rains and strong winds. From September 2, 2025 to March 31, 2026, a total of 183 dangerous trees and 2,508 branches were removed across two zones. The corporation will continue inspections and removal operations. Citizens are urged to report hazardous trees via helpline 1533 / 9480685705 or through WhatsApp with GPS-enabled photos.

Police arrested 13 persons, including 9 juveniles, for mobile phone theft during the IPL 2026 RCB vs SRH match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on March 28 within Cubbon Park Police Station limits in Bengaluru. Through operations conducted between March 31 and April 3, police recovered a total of 75 stolen mobile phones from the accused. The arrested individuals were produced before court, while the juveniles were sent to a government observation home. Further investigation is ongoing.

भारतीय राजनीति के शिखर पुरुष जिन्हें आदर से ‘बाबूजी’ के नाम से संबोधित किया जाता था। लगभग 50 वर्षो के संसदीय जीवन में राष्ट्र के प्रति उनका समर्पण और निष्ठा बेमिसाल है। उनका संपूर्ण जीवन राजनीतिक, सामाजिक सक्रियता और विशिष्ट उपलब्धियों से भरा हुआ है। सदियों से शोषण और उत्पीड़ित दलितों, मज़दूरों के मूलभूत अधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए जगजीवन राम द्वारा किए गए क़ानूनी प्रावधान ऐतिहासिक हैं। जगजीवन राम का ऐसा व्यक्तित्व था जिसने कभी भी अन्याय से समझौता नहीं किया और दलितों के सम्मान के लिए हमेशा संघर्षरत रहे। विद्यार्थी जीवन से ही उन्होंने अन्याय के प्रति आवाज़ उठायी। बाबू जगजीवन राम का भारत में संसदीय लोकतंत्र के विकास में महती योगदान है।

Spencer Bonaventure Tracy (April 5, 1900 – June 10, 1967) was an American actor, noted for his natural performing style and versatility. One of the major stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age, Tracy won two Academy Awards for Best Actor from nine nominations, sharing the record for nominations in the category with Laurence Olivier. Tracy’s breakthrough came in 1930, when his lead performance in The Last Mile caught the attention of Hollywood. After a successful film debut in John Ford’s Up the River starring Tracy and Humphrey Bogart, he was signed to a contract with Fox Film Corporation. None of them were hits although The Power and the Glory (1933) features arguably his most acclaimed performance in retrospect. In 1935, Tracy joined Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, at the time Hollywood’s most prestigious studio. His career flourished with a series of hit films, and in 1937 and 1938 he won consecutive Oscars for Captains Courageous and Boys Town. In 1942, he appeared with Katharine Hepburn in Woman of the Year, beginning another popular partnership that produced nine movies over 25 years.
