  केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने वित्त वर्ष 2026-27 से 2030-31 की अवधि के लिए ‘लघु जलविद्युत विकास योजना’ को मंजूरी दे दी है। इसकी कुल लागत लगभग 2 हजार 585 करोड़ रुपये है। इस योजना का उद्देश्य लगभग 1500 मेगावाट क्षमता की लघु जलविद्युत परियोजनाओं की स्थापना करना है। इससे लघु जलविद्युत क्षेत्र में करीब 15 हजार करोड़ रुपये का निवेश आने की संभावना है, जो स्वच्छ ऊर्जा पहल को बढ़ावा देने, दूरदराज और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में निवेश बढ़ाने तथा बड़े पैमाने पर रोजगार के अवसर सृजित करने में सहायक होगा।

  कल, नई दिल्ली में मंत्रिमंडल की बैठक के बाद मीडिया को जानकारी देते हुए सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कहा कि यह योजना राज्यों को लगभग 200 परियोजनाओं के लिए विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट तैयार करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करेगी।

The Government has notified the amendment of the National Highways Fee Rules, 2026, to Strengthen Toll Compliance and Digital Enforcement. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said that the amendment provides a structured recovery mechanism in cases of unpaid user fees and has been introduced to strengthen digital enforcement of toll collection. It also aims to ensure efficient and transparent realisation of the user fee on National Highways. The structured recovery mechanism for unpaid user fee, notified under Rule 14, includes a technology-driven Electronic Notice (e-notice) system, wherein electronic notices will be issued to registered vehicle owners specifying vehicle details, date and location of passage, and the amount payable.

President Droupadi Murmu, who’s on a 3-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, will visit the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya today. On the first day of Chaitra Navratri, the President will attend Vedic rituals at the Ram Mandir and be present for the installation of the Shri Ram Yantra on the temple’s second floor. According to general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi teerth shetra trust, Champat Rai, the Shri Ram Yantra was brought to Ayodhya two years ago. Based on Vedic mathematics and geometric patterns, the ‘yantra’ is regarded as a sacred symbol believed to channel divine energy and positive spiritual vibrations.

It was being worshipped before Raja Ram from 12th march and will be placed on the second floor of the Ram Temple during the ceremony. During her three and a half hour stay, the president will also felicitate workers involved in the temple’s construction.

Around 7,000 people are expected to attend the event, including saints, dignitaries and contributors associated with the construction of the temple. संयुक्त राष्ट्र के अंतर-एजेंसी समूह की 2025 की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत, बाल जीवन रक्षा के क्षेत्र वैश्विक स्तर पर अग्रणी उदाहरण बनकर उभरा है। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, नवजात मृत्यु दर में लगभग 70 प्रतिशत की गिरावट आई है, जो 1990 में प्रति 1,000 जीवित जन्मों पर 57 मौतों से घटकर 2024 में 17 रह गई है। यह मातृ एवं नवजात शिशु स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं में निरंतर सुधार को दर्शाता है। इसी तरह, पांच वर्ष से कम आयु के बच्चों की मृत्यु दर में और भी अधिक 79 प्रतिशत की कमी दर्ज की गई है, जो 1990 में 127 से घटकर 2024 में 27 रह गई है।

  केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री जगत प्रकाश नड्डा ने विशेष नवजात शिशु देखभाल इकाइयों, जननी सुरक्षा योजना, जननी शिशु सुरक्षा कार्यक्रम और विस्तारित टीकाकरण कार्यक्रमों जैसी प्रमुख पहलों का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि इन प्रयासों ने इस परिवर्तन को गति देने और स्वास्थ्य प्रणाली को मजबूत करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है।

The month-long Uttarvahini Narmada Parikrama is all set to kick off today in Gujarat. Lakhs of devotees from across India will gather for this thirty-kilometer spiritual journey along the holy river Narmada. Our correspondent reports that the state government has introduced a mandatory digital registration system and set up modern facilities to facilitate the pilgrims. A report:

”This sacred thirty-kilometer journey begins from the banks of the Narmada at Rampura and concludes back at the same point after completing the circumambulation. To facilitate the lakhs of pilgrims arriving from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and across the country, the administration has made digital registration mandatory this time. The parikrama can only be commenced after scanning the QR code obtained upon registration on the Yatradham portal. High-tech security measures, including RFID technology and CCTV surveillance, are being deployed along this thirty-kilometer route developed at a cost of ten crore rupees. According to official data, the number of pilgrims in this spiritual journey has seen a continuous rise; while four lakh devotees performed the parikrama in 2024, the figure crossed the ten-lakh mark last year.”

CHENNAI METRO

In Chennai, the Madras High Court has ordered the removal of the invasive tree species Prosopis Juliflora across the state. A special committee led by former judges A. Selvam and V. Bharathidasan will oversee the process. The court directed the government to clear the species from public lands, while private landowners must remove it within 30 days or face action by officials, with costs charged per acre. The entire process, including identification, auction, and removal, must be completed within a fixed timeline. A bench of N. Sathish Kumar and D. Bharatha Chakravarthy also asked the state to create an online dashboard to track progress, including removal, replantation, and areas cleared.

 दिल्ली सरकार ने कल ‘दिल्ली इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन पॉलिसी’ के अंतर्गत लंबे समय से लंबित इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन खरीद सब्सिडी के वितरण की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है। दिल्ली के परिवहन मंत्री डॉक्टर पंकज कुमार सिंह ने बताया कि परिवहन विभाग ने कंपनियों और फर्मों के 3 हजार से अधिक सत्यापित लाभार्थियों को सब्सिडी जारी करने की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है, जिनके दस्तावेज़ों और पात्रता का सत्यापन पूरा हो चुका है। उन्‍होंने बताया कि उन लाभार्थियों को लगभग 7 करोड़ रुपए से ज्‍यादा की सब्सिडी वितरित की जाएगी। श्री सिंह ने कहा कि परिवहन विभाग ने सब्सिडी वितरण प्रणाली को अधिक पारदर्शी और प्रभावी बनाने के लिए इसे पब्लिक फाइनेंशियल मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम आधारित प्रत्यक्ष लाभ हस्तांतरण प्लेटफार्म से जोडा है। जिससे राशि सीधे लाभार्थियों के खातों में हस्‍तांतरित की जा सके।

  भारत जनजाति महोत्सव 2026 कल राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में शुरू हुआ। महोत्‍सव में जनजातीय समुदायों की सांस्कृतिक विरासत और उद्यमिता को प्रदर्शित किया। इसका आयोजन भारतीय जनजातीय सहकारी विपणन विकास संघ द्वारा सुंदर नर्सरी में किया जा रहा है। 30 मार्च तक चलने वाले महोत्सव में देश-भर के 78 वन-धन विकास केंद्रों के 200 से अधिक स्टॉल लगाए जाएंगे और 300 से अधिक जनजातीय कारीगर शामिल होंगे।

 दिल्ली नगर निगम की स्थायी समिति की अध्यक्ष सत्या शर्मा ने बताया कि चैत्र नवरात्र के अवसर पर निगम द्वारा राजधानी के सभी प्रमुख मंदिरों और उनके आसपास के क्षेत्रों में स्वच्छता व्यवस्था को सुदृढ़ करने के लिए विशेष अभियान चलाया जाएगा। इस अभियान के अंतर्गत मंदिर परिसरों, आसपास की सड़कों, गलियों तथा सार्वजनिक स्थलों पर नियमित साफ-सफाई, कचरा उठाने और स्वच्छता बनाए रखने के लिए व्यापक स्तर पर कार्य किया जाएगा।

In Bengaluru, Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has directed officials to complete stormwater drain (rajakaluve) works before the monsoon to prevent flooding. During inspections in North Bengaluru, he stressed faster progress on lake connectivity projects and suggested nature-based solutions like wetlands, including at Jakkur Lake. He also called for steps like installing a sluice gate at Kogilu Lake, prioritising lake rejuvenation, and creating pedestrian-friendly spaces along drains.

  महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा ने मोटर वाहन कर (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2026 पारित कर दिया है। परिवहन मंत्री प्रताप सरनाइक ने कहा कि इस कानून के तहत पुराने वाहनों पर पर्यावरण कर बढ़ाया गया है, जिसमें दोपहिया, पेट्रोल और डीजल वाहनों के लिए एकमुश्त शुल्क निर्धारित किया गया है। इस विधेयक का उद्देश्य प्रदूषण कम करना, वायु गुणवत्ता में सुधार करना और सड़क सुरक्षा एवं परिवहन अवसंरचना के लिए राजस्व जुटाना है।

 महाराष्ट्र सरकार युवाओं में स्वरोजगार और नवाचार को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 1 अप्रैल से ‘मुख्यमंत्री महा निधि फॉर एंटरप्रेन्योरशिप एंड इनोवेशन’ नामक एक विशेष योजना शुरू करेगी। मंत्री मंगल प्रभात लोढ़ा ने बताया है कि इस पहल के तहत लगभग पांच लाख युवाओं को कौशल प्रशिक्षण के साथ-साथ प्रत्यक्ष वित्तीय सहायता भी मिलेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि इस पहल का उद्देश्य नवाचार को बढ़ावा देना और राज्य भर में रोजगार के अवसर पैदा करना है।

  यात्रियों को अधिक आरामदायक यात्रा का अनुभव प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से, पश्चिमी रेलवे आज से अपनी 16 मौजूदा उपनगरीय ट्रेनों को 15 डिब्बों वाली ट्रेनों में परिवर्तित करेगा। इसके साथ ही, 15 डिब्बों वाली ट्रेनों की कुल संख्या 211 से बढ़कर 227 हो जाएगी, जिससे यात्री क्षमता में लगभग 20 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि होगी। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि उन्नत सेवाओं से मुख्य रूप से व्यस्त चर्चगेट-विरार-दहानू कॉरिडोर पर व्यस्त समय में यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों को लाभ होगा।

आज प्रमुख आधुनिक हिंदी कवियों में से एक केदारनाथ सिंह की पुण्यतिथि है। केदारनाथ सिंह की कविता यात्रा का आरंभ एक गीतकार के रूप में हुआ। वह अज्ञेय के संपादन में प्रकाशित ‘तीसरा सप्तक’ (1959) के सात कवियों में से एक थे। उनका पहला कविता संग्रह ‘अभी, बिल्कुल अभी’ 1960 में प्रकाशित हुआ। उनका दूसरा कविता संग्रह ‘ज़मीन पक रही है’ बीस वर्षों के लंबे संयम और अंतराल के बाद 1980 में आया। उन्हें ‘अकाल में सारस’ के लिए 1989 के साहित्य अकादेमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। उन्हें 2014 में प्रतिष्ठित ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया।

आज भारतीय सिनेमा के मशहूर हास्य अभिनेता सैय्यद इश्तियाक अहमद जाफ़री की जयंती है। उन्होंने अपने हास्य अभिनय से दर्शकों में काफ़ी लोकप्रियता हासिल की। उन्होंने अपने कॅरियर की शुरुआत बाल कलाकार के रूप में फ़िल्म ‘अफसाना’ से की थी। जगदीप ने 400 से अधिक फ़िल्मों काम किया। उन्हें लोग उनके वास्तविक नाम से न जानकर ‘जगदीप’ नाम से जानते हैं। वे साल 1975 में आई मशहूर फिल्म ‘शोले’ में ‘सूरमा भोपाली’ के किरदार से काफी चर्चा बटोरने में कामयाब रहे थे। आइए सुनते है फिल्‍म शोले से उनका यह डायलॉग………….

आज उत्तराखंड के लोक संगीत से जुड़ी प्रसिद्ध लोक गायिका माधुरी बड़थ्वाल का जन्मदिन है। लोक गीतों और लोक संगीत के संरक्षण और प्रचार के लिए भारत सरकार ने डॉक्टर माधुरी बड़थ्वाल को पद्म श्री, 2022 से सम्मानित किया है। माधुरी बड़थ्वाल ऑल इंडिया रेडिओ में पहली महिला संगीतकार के रूप में जानी जाती हैं। इनको वर्ष 2019 के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस पर ‘नारी शक्ति पुरस्कार’ से सम्मानित किया गया था। माधुरी बड़थ्वाल उत्तराखंड के लोक संगीत के संरक्षण के लिए बरसों से काम कर रही हैं।
