प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी आज केरल और तमिलनाडु के दौरे पर रहेंगे। वे आज दोपहर केरलम के एर्नाकुलम में लगभग 10 हजार आठ सौ करोड़ रुपये की कई विकास परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन और शिलान्यास करेंगे। इस दौरान, प्रधानमंत्री का एक सभा को भी संबोधित करने का कार्यक्रम है। इसके बाद, प्रधानमंत्री मोदी तमिलनाडु के तिरुचिरापल्ली में लगभग पांच हजार छह सौ पचास करोड़ रुपये की परियोजनाओं का शुभारंभ करेंगे। इनमें पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस अवसंरचना, ग्रामीण संपर्क और राजमार्ग विकास सहित प्रमुख परियोजनाएं शामिल हैं।

Defence Research and Development Organisation, DRDO and the Indian Navy jointly conducted four successful in-flight release trials of the indigenous Air Droppable Container ADC-150 from the P8I aircraft off the coast of Goa. The trials were conducted between February 21 to March 01, 2026, at different extreme release conditions. Designed and developed to deliver 150 kg payload, Air Droppable Container will enhance the naval operational logistics capabilities for providing quick response to naval vessels under distress, needing critical stores, equipment and medical assistance at blue sea deployed far from the coast.
विदेश मंत्री डॉ. सुब्रह्मण्यम जयशंकर ने कल शाम ईरान के विदेश मंत्री सैयद अब्बास अरागची से पश्चिम एशिया में जारी संघर्ष के ताजा घटनाक्रमों पर विस्तृत चर्चा की। सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में डॉ. जयशंकर ने कहा कि हम संपर्क में रहने पर सहमत हुए। पिछले महीने संघर्ष शुरू होने के बाद से यह उनकी तीसरी टेलीफोन वार्ता थी।
डॉ. जयशंकर ने जर्मनी के विदेशमंत्री जोहान वाडेफुल और दक्षिण कोरिया के विदेश मंत्री चो ह्यून से भी पश्चिम एशिया की स्थिति पर बातचीत की।
श्री चो ह्यून ने सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में बताया कि पश्चिम एशिया की स्थिति का वैश्विक सुरक्षा और अर्थव्यवस्था पर गहरा प्रभाव पड़ रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि डॉ. जयशंकर इस बात पर सहमत हुए कि दोनों पक्षों को रणनीतिक आर्थिक सहयोग बढ़ाने के लिए मिलकर काम करना चाहिए।
Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi has said the country’s installed electricity capacity from non-fossil sources has grown significantly over the past decade, rising from 81 gigawatts to nearly 275 gigawatts. Addressing the 4th National Agro-RE Summit in New Delhi yesterday, Mr Joshi said solar irrigation has the potential to transform India’s agriculture and energy sectors. He said the technology can support sustainable farming by providing reliable daytime irrigation for farmers, while also boosting the country’s renewable energy capacity.

The Ministry of Rural Development organised a special visit for women members of Self Help Groups-SHGs belonging to Tribal communities and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups to Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday. Over 150 SHG Didis from some of the remotest regions of the country participated in the visit. Bringing together women from different geographies, cultures, and languages, the initiative reflected the spirit of India’s unity in diversity while highlighting the collective strength of women’s institutions nurtured under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission.

पूर्व राजनयिक तरनजीत सिंह संधू आज दिल्ली के नए उपराज्यपाल के रूप में शपथ लेंगे। शपथ ग्रहण समारोह लोक निवास में आयोजित किया जाएगा। दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय के मुख्य न्यायाधीश श्री संधू को 23वें उपराज्यपाल के रूप में शपथ दिलाएंगे।
दिल्ली यातायात पुलिस ने बताया कि राजपुर रोड पर सीवर लाइन बिछाने के कार्य के चलते आज से 25 तारीख तक विशेष यातायात व्यवस्था लागू रहेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि राजपुर रोड पर 300 मिलीमीटर व्यास की सीवर लाइन डाली जा रही है जिसके चलते राजपुर रोड, मॉल रोड, महात्मा गांधी मार्ग, चौबुर्जा मार्ग, भिखू राम जैन मार्ग, शामनाथ मार्ग और लोक निवास मार्ग पर यातायात को नियंत्रित किया जाएगा। यातायात पुलिस ने बताया कि इस दौरान राजपुर अथॉरिटी मोड़ से दिल्ली नगर निगम चौक तक राजपुर रोड मालवाहक वाहनों के लिए बंद रहेगा। इसके अलावा नगर निगम चौक से पीएस सिविल लाइंस रेड लाइट की ओर जाने वाला एक मार्ग मालवाहक वाहनों के लिए चालू रहेगा। यातायात पुलिस ने यात्रियों को सलाह दी है कि वे अपनी यात्रा पहले से योजना बनाकर चलें और प्रभावित मार्ग पर जाने से बचें तथा सड़क किनारे वाहन खड़े न करे।
The Cybercrime police in Chennai have arrested seven members of a cybercrime gang, including a police constable, who were part of an international network. The group operated from Sathirakudi village and Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram district and allegedly converted about rupees 100 crore from cyber fraud into cryptocurrency before transferring the money to offshore syndicates. The accused ran small businesses such as mobile phone repair shops, milk shops and textile stores as a cover for their activities. One of the main suspects was a constable in the 12th battalion at Manimuthar in Tirunelveli district and has been suspended. The gang was exposed during the investigation of an online investment scam in which a victim lost rupees 1.36 crore.
The National Highways Authority of India has announced that construction of the four-lane, double-tier elevated corridor from Chennai Port to Maduravoyal is progressing quickly and is expected to be completed by November 2027. The 20.9-kilometre project, costing more than rupees 3,500 crore, was first started in 2010 but was stopped in 2016 and later restarted in 2023 after requests from the Government of Tamil Nadu and Chennai Port Trust. The lower level of the corridor will handle city traffic and will have 13 ramps at important locations such as Sivananda Salai, College Road, Spur Tank Road and Koyambedu. NHAI official Virender Sambyal said large casting yards, including an 80-acre facility at EVP Film City, are producing over 500 pre-cast concrete segments every month to speed up construction.

महाराष्ट्र की उपमुख्यमंत्री सुनेत्रा पवार ने मुंबई महानगर क्षेत्र में कार्यरत महिला सरकारी कर्मचारियों के लिए एक नई “जल्दी आओ, जल्दी जाओ” नीति की घोषणा की है। इस नीति के तहत, महिला कर्मचारी सुबह 9:15 बजे से 9:45 बजे के बीच कार्यालय आ सकती हैं और जो जल्दी आती हैं उन्हें 30 मिनट पहले जाने की अनुमति होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि इस पहल से महिलाओं को भीड़भाड़ वाले समय में यात्रा करने से बचने और अपनी पेशेवर और व्यक्तिगत जिम्मेदारियों को बेहतर ढंग से निभाने में मदद मिलेगी।
महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने घोषणा की है कि राज्य सरकार सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से व्यक्तियों को बदनाम करने के प्रयासों को रोकने के तरीकों की जांच के लिए जल्द ही एक समिति का गठन करेगी। इस समिति की अध्यक्षता पुलिस महानिदेशक करेंगे। यह समिति इस मुद्दे का अध्ययन करेगी और सिफारिश करेगी कि क्या ऐसे साइबर अपराधों से निपटने के लिए मौजूदा कानूनों को मजबूत किया जाना चाहिए या नए कानून पेश किए जाने चाहिए।
Lakhs of Nurses registered with the Karnataka State Nursing Council can now renew their professional certificates online through the DigiLocker platform, removing the need to visit the council office in Gandhinagar in Bengaluru every five years. The online renewal system, which was introduced in August 2025 for new registrations, has now been extended to existing nurses. The service was launched by Karnataka’s Medical Education and Skill Development Minister Sharanprakash R. Patil on International Women’s Day. The minister said that more than 2,000 newly registered nurses have already received their certificates through the Aadhaar-linked DigiLocker system.
मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार ने कहा कि पश्चिम बंगाल में आगामी विधानसभा चुनावों के दौरान मतदाताओं को डराने-धमकाने की कोशिश करने वालों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी। कोलकाता में एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में बोलते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि भारत निर्वाचन आयोग चुनाव पूर्व या चुनाव पश्चात किसी भी प्रकार की हिंसा को बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगा। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि विशेष गहन संशोधन प्रक्रिया का उद्देश्य मतदाता सूची को पूरी तरह से साफ रखना है ताकि कोई भी पात्र मतदाता छूट न जाए और कोई भी अपात्र व्यक्ति शामिल न हो। जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारियों और पुलिस अधिकारियों को शांतिपूर्ण चुनाव सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं। कानून व्यवस्था की स्थिति के आधार पर चुनाव चरणों की संख्या तय की जाएगी।
The Telangana government will organise the Godavari Pushkaralu on the lines of the Kumbh Mela, with grand and prestigious arrangements that reflect the cultural identity and spirit of the State.
At the first meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on “Godavari Pushkaralu-2027”, held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat at Hyderabad yesterday, officials were directed to undertake permanent infrastructure works that showcase the ‘Telangana Brand’ and the State’s rich traditions.
According to Vedic scholars, the Adi Pushkaralu will be held from June 26 to July 7, 2027, while the Antya Pushkaralu will take place from July 13 to July 24, 2028. Around eight crore devotees are expected to participate in the Pushkarams. Accordingly, 96 locations along the Godavari river across districts have been identified, linking important temples along the river.

आज पुण्यतिथि है चन्द्रभानु गुप्त की जो भारत के प्रसिद्ध स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री थे। उन पर ‘आर्य समाज’ का बहुत गहरा प्रभाव था। वर्ष 1926 से ही वे ‘उत्तर प्रदेश कांग्रेस’ और ‘अखिल भारतीय कांग्रेस कमेटी’ के सदस्य बन गए थे। ‘काकोरी रेल कांड’ के क्रांतिकारियों के बचाव पक्ष में वकालत करने के बाद ही चन्द्रभानु जी सुर्खियों में आ गए। आजादी के बाद, कई विभागों में मंत्री रहने के बाद चन्द्रभानु जी वर्ष 1960 से 1963 तक उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री रहे। उन्होंने समाज सेवा के क्षेत्र में भी अनेक काम किए। लखनऊ और गोरखपुर जैसे शहरों को आधुनिक व विकासशील बनाने की पहल करने वाले सी.बी गुप्त को लोग मजबूत प्रशासन, जुझारू नेतृत्व व बड़प्पन के लिए आज भी याद करते हैं।
Have you ever made a mistake that revolutionised an entire scientific field and altered the longevity of the human race? Yeah, me neither. But Dr Alexander Fleming did when he discovered penicillin. Today we are remembering Alexander Fleming physician-scientist who was recognised for discovering penicillin. The simple discovery and use of the antibiotic agent has saved millions of lives, and earned Fleming – together with Howard Florey and Ernst Chain, who devised methods for the large-scale isolation and production of penicillin – the 1945 Nobel Prize in Physiology/Medicine.“I did not invent penicillin. Nature did that. I only discovered it by accident.”That accidental discovery led to perhaps the greatest medical advancement of the 20th century.Not only did the Penicillium mould prevent the growth of bacteria, Fleming realised it could be used to treat infectious disease.Penicillin was first used to save the life of Harry Lambert from an otherwise fatal nervous system infection in 1942.Penicillin has saved an estimated 500 million lives since its discovery by providing doctors with a way to fight bacterial infections.
आज जयंती है डॉक्टर विश्वनाथन शांता की जो भारत की ऐसी महिला थीं, जिन्हें उनके जनकल्याणकारी कार्यों के लिए वर्ष 2005 में रेमन मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार दिया गया था। विशेष रूप से पुरुषों में गले, फेफड़ों तथा पेट का कैंसर, प्रमुखता से देखा जाता है जो तम्बाकू के कारण होता है। स्त्रियों में गर्दन तथा स्तन का कैंसर सबसे ज्यादा देखा जाता है लेकिन उस समय इसके उपचार की दिशा में प्रयास कम हुए थे। दोनों को अपने निर्देशन में सम्पन्न किया। डॉ. वी. शांता ने ‘चेन्नई कैंसर इन्टीट्यूट’ में इस ओर बहुत काम किया और इस उपेक्षित क्षेत्र में इलाज तथा अनुसंधान दोनों को अपने निर्देशन में सम्पन्न किया।

आज जयंती है विजय सैमुअल हज़ारे की जो भारत के जानेमाने क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी थे। वह 1951 से 1953 के मध्य भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के कप्तान रहे। उन्होंने अपनी कप्तानी में भारत को टेस्ट क्रिकेट में प्रथम सफलता दिलाई थी। सन् 1960 में उन्हें भारत सरकार ने ‘पद्म श्री’ से सम्मानित किया था। विजय हज़ारे ने एडीलेड ओवेल में सबसे यादगार पारी खेली। भारत ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ 1946-1947 की श्रुंखला का चौथा टेस्ट यहीं खेला था। इस टेस्ट मैच में भारत की पारी की हार हुई लेकिन हज़ारे ने दोनों पारियों में 116 और 145 रन बनाकर ऑस्ट्रेलिया में अपने हजारों प्रशंसक बना लिए थे। हज़ारे ही एक ऐसे बल्लेबाज थे, जो लिंडवाने तथा कीथमिलर जैसे गेंदबाजों के सामने टिक सकते थे। उस टैस्ट मैच में ऑस्ट्रेलिया की कप्तानी सर डॉन ब्रेडमैन कर रहे थे।
Today we remember Sayajirao Gaekwad III on his Birth anniversary. He was the Maharaja of Baroda State from 1875 to 1939. Merely months after acquiring full powers, he opened eight schools for girls and a training college for women teachers in 1881. The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, which runs even today, was also opened in 1881. His tenure saw the abolishment of infant marriage, legalization of widow re-marriage, and the introduction of free and compulsory primary education in 1893. Sayajirao was also a supporter of abolition of caste differences. It is well-known that his patronage brought forth some of the best talents of the time.
आज जयंती है मदनसिंह मतवाले की जो हैदराबाद रियासत के भारत में विलय के लिए संघर्ष करने वाले प्रमुख व्यक्तियों में रहे। उन्होंने हैदराबाद राज्य को स्वाधीन भारत में मिलाने के चलाये जा रहे आन्दोलन में सक्रिय भाग लिया था। हैदराबाद रियासत के साथ उन्होंने पहला संघर्ष तब किया, जब आर्य समाज ने हैदराबाद के विरुद्ध आंदोलन छेड़ा। यह आंदोलन सफल हुआ था और निज़ाम हैदराबाद को झुकना पड़ा। आन्दोलन की सफलता के पश्चात् मदनसिंह मतवाले का हौसला बढ़ गया और वह उस आंदोलन में भी सम्मिलित हो गए, जो हैदराबाद राज्य को स्वाधीन भारत में मिलाने के लिए चलाया जा रहा था। मदनसिंह मतवाले ने 14 अगस्त, 1948 को अपने मकान पर भारत का तिरंगा झंडा लहरा दिया। हैदराबाद की पुलिस ने बलपूर्वक वह झंडा उतारना चाहा, लेकिन मदनसिंह मतवाले ने संघर्ष किया। पुलिस मदनसिंह मतवाले को पकड़कर ले गई और संभवतः उन्हें मार डाला गया, क्योंकि इस घटना के पश्चात् लोगों को उनका कुछ पता नहीं चला।
Our tributes to Dwijendranath Tagore on his birth anniversary. Born on 11 March 1840, he was the eldest son of Debendranath Tagore and a man of remarkable intellect. A poet, musician, philosopher, and mathematician, his bold and innovative experiments in poetry left a lasting impact on his younger brother, Rabindranath Tagore.
