The total number of Aadhaar authentication transactions have crossed 150 billion marks, making it a milestone moment in the journey of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and for the broader Aadhaar ecosystem. We have a report on this:
The landmark highlights the extensive usage and utility of Aadhaar, and the growth of digital economy in the country. Ministry of Electronics and IT in a statement said that the cumulative number was achieved by the end of April 2025, since inception. The Ministry added that in April alone, almost 210 crore Aadhaar authentication transactions were carried out which is nearly eight percent more than the same month in 2024. It added that Aadhaar based authentication has been playing a stellar role in aiding ease of living, in effective welfare delivery, and voluntarily availing various services offered by service providers. Aadhaar e-KYC service continues to play a key role in improving customer experience and adding ease of doing business in sectors including banking and non-banking financial services. Besides, more than 100 entities both in government and private sector are using face authentication for smooth delivery of benefits and services. संस्कृत के विद्वान स्वामी रामभद्राचार्य और प्रसिद्ध उर्दू कवि गुलजार को वर्ष 2023 का 58वां ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार प्रदान किया गया। उन्हें यह पुरस्कार राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मु ने प्रदान किया। इस अवसर पर राष्ट्रपति ने दोनों साहित्यकारों को बधाई दी। स्वामी रामभद्राचार्य ने पुरस्कार मिलने पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि उनके साहित्यिक कार्यों को मान्यता मिली है।
स्वामी ने 80 से अधिक पुस्तकों और ग्रंथो की रचना की। जिनमें चार महाकाव्य शामिल हैं। उन्हें तुलसीदास पर भारत के सर्वश्रेष्ठ विशेषज्ञों में गिना जाता है।

Today we remember, Param Vir Chakra awardee Rifleman Sanjay Kumar who displayed exemplary bravery during the Kargil War.
A native of Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh, Rifleman Sanjay Kumar joined the 13th Battalion, Jammu and Kashmir Rifles in 1996. During the Kargil War on 4th July 1999, Rifleman Sanjay Kumar was the leading scout of a team tasked to capture Area Flat Top of Point 4875 in the Mushkoh Valley. During the attack when enemy automatic fire from one of the sangars posed stiff opposition and stalled the column, Rifleman Sanjay Kumar, realizing the gravity of the situation and with utter disregard to his personal safety, charged at the enemy. In the ensuing hand-to-hand combat, he killed three of the intruders and was himself seriously injured. Despite his injuries, he charged onto the second sangar. Taken totally by surprise, the enemy left behind a Universal Machine Gun and started running. Rifleman Sanjay Kumar picked up the UMG and killed the fleeing enemy. Although bleeding profusely, he refused to be evacuated. The brave action on his part motivated his comrades and they overcoming the treacherous terrain and charged onto the enemy and wrested the area Flat Top from the hands of the enemy. Rifleman Sanjay Kumar displayed most conspicuous gallantry, cool courage and devotion to duty of an exceptionally high order in the face of the enemy. The Nation salutes him. In a significant nationwide outreach effort, the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ is being held in various parts of the country to honour the courage and sacrifice of Indian armed forces following the successful ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to horrific Pahalgam terror attack. In Tamil Nadu, state BJP unit held Tiranga rallies at various places in the districts of Tenkasi, Tirupattur, Thoothukudi, Vellore and Theni. Karnataka’s Minister for Medical Education and Skill Development, Dr. Sharan Prakash Patil, has announced that all general transfers within the Skill Development Department will now be conducted through a counselling process. Speaking at a departmental review meeting held in Bengaluru yesterday, the minister directed Skill Development Secretary Ekroop Caur to prepare detailed guidelines for implementing this new transfer system. He also emphasized the need to prioritize the Department of Employment and Training, which has one of the largest workforces among the departments under his purview. Dr. Patil stressed that the current practice of securing transfers through influence or recommendations must be stopped, and transfers should instead be handled via counselling to allow staff to obtain postings at preferred locations.

और सबसे पहले हम याद कर रहे है, धीरेन्द्र वर्मा को वह हिन्दी और ब्रजभाषा के प्रसिद्ध कवि और लेखक थे। जो कार्य हिन्दी समीक्षा के क्षेत्र में आचार्य रामचन्द्र शुक्ल ने किया, वही कार्य हिन्दी शोध के क्षेत्र में डॉ. धीरेन्द्र वर्मा ने किया था। धीरेन्द्र वर्मा जहाँ एक तरफ़ हिन्दी विभाग के उत्कृष्ट व्यवस्थापक रहे, वहीं दूसरी ओर एक आदर्श प्राध्यापक भी थे। भारतीय भाषाओं से सम्बद्ध समस्त शोध कार्य के आधार पर उन्होंने 1933 ई. में हिन्दी भाषा का प्रथम वैज्ञानिक इतिहास लिखा था। फ्रेंच भाषा में उनका ब्रजभाषा पर शोध प्रबन्ध है, जिसका अब हिन्दी अनुवाद हो चुका है।
