प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा है कि सुधार उनकी सरकार के लिए मजबूरी नहीं, बल्कि प्रतिबद्धता है। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार की नीतियां लोगों के हित और देश के विकास को ध्यान में रखकर बनाई जा रही हैं। नई दिल्ली में इकोनॉमिक टाइम्स वर्ल्ड लीडर्स फोरम को संबोधित करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार केवल नियम नहीं बदल रही, बल्कि नियम बनाने की सोच भी बदल रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत उत्पादन से जुड़ी प्रोत्साहन योजना के जरिए उद्योग और रोजगार के नए अवसर सृजित कर रहा है। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि वैश्विक स्तर पर संसाधनों को लेकर बढ़ता तनाव और देशों के बीच अविश्वास नई चुनौतियां पैदा कर रहे हैं। इसके बावजूद भारत को दुनिया में विकास और उम्मीद की एक बड़ी किरण के रूप में देखा जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि अंतरराष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष के अनुसार, भारत दुनिया की सबसे तेजी से बढ़ती प्रमुख अर्थव्यवस्था बना रहेगा। प्रधानमंत्री ने भारत की जी-20 अध्यक्षता के मंत्र “एक पृथ्वी, एक परिवार, एक भविष्य” का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि दुनिया के सभी देशों का भविष्य एक-दूसरे से जुड़ा हुआ है। लाल किले से अपने स्वतंत्रता दिवस संबोधन का जिक्र करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि भारत के विकास के लिए सात प्रमुख क्षेत्रों पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जा रहा है। इनमें विनिर्माण, कृषि और खाद्य प्रसंस्करण, तकनीक और नवाचार, हरित अर्थव्यवस्था और नीली अर्थव्यवस्था शामिल हैं।

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has lauded West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari for handing over 1,129 acres of land to the Border Security Force and Sashastra Seema Bal for fencing along the India-Bangladesh border in the state within 45 days of the new government coming to power. He said the request for the land required for the border fence had been pending since 2014. Mr Shah was speaking while attending a programme at the Sashastra Seema Bal frontier headquarters in the Ranidanga area at Siliguri in West Bengal yesterday. The Home Minister said completing border fencing is crucial to stopping infiltration and protecting national security. He said the government will continue its zero-tolerance policy towards illegal immigration.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the Siliguri Corridor, also known as the ‘Chicken Neck’, Mr Shah said it is vital for the security of the Northeast and the country. He said the corridor, which connects the Northeast with the rest of the country and is bordered by three countries – Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh, will be protected by a triangular grid of Army posts in Chopra, Dhubri and Kishanganj. On the occasion, he laid foundation stones for infrastructure worth around 189 crore rupees and inaugurated several other projects.

India and Nepal reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation on border management and security. The discussion came up during the 14th meeting of the India-Nepal Joint Working Group (JWG) which concluded in Dehradun yesterday. Joint Secretary (BM-I), in the Union Home Ministry, Pausumi Basu led the Indian delegation at the meeting, while the Nepalese side was led by Joint Secretary in Ministry of Home Affairs, Ananda Kafle. Union Home Ministry in a statement said, during the two-day meeting, discussions covered addressing trans-border crime and criminal activities, strengthening and effective utilisation of border infrastructure, roads and railway networks, removal of encroachments and maintenance of boundary pillars. The two sides also exchanged views on strengthening institutional coordination and capacity building across various sectors, and agreed to sustain engagement in these areas.

India secured second place in Pool D with a convincing 5-3 victory over Pakistan. The win was particularly significant, as India displayed greater attacking fluency and finished the pool stage on a strong note. India will now join England and the top two teams from Pool A in Pool E. The top two teams from Pool E will qualify for the semi-finals. Unlike England, India will not carry any points into the second stage and will have to start a fresh today against a strong Netherlands side.
India now need a win to keep their hopes of progressing in the tournament alive. India women’s will face Australia tomorrow.

The Butterfly Garden at Vandalur Zoo has been reopened after a major renovation. The garden was launched around ten years ago to support the complete life cycle of butterflies from egg to winged adult. The deputy director of the Zoo Manish Meena said that the Park has been upgraded with improved infrastructure , naturalistic features and interactive facilities. The park houses larval and pupal rearing rooms alongside dedicated host and nectar gardens that supply plants for butterfly breeding and feeding.

The State Government has planned to launch the Singappen credit scheme for women entrepreneurs at an outlay of Rs. 7015 Crore. Minister for Cooperation V.Gandhiraj said that the Government would provide rural business loans at 9 % interest for micro and small scale farmers. The State will allocate Rs. 5000 Crore for the same.

दिल्ली सरकार ने प्रदूषण फैलाने वाली औद्योगिक इकाइयों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करते हुए इस वर्ष जनवरी से जुलाई के बीच 2000 से अधिक औद्योगिक इकाइयों का निरीक्षण किया। मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने बताया कि निरीक्षण के दौरान 106 इकाइयां पर्यावरणीय मानकों का उल्लंघन करती पाई गईं, वहीं, 78 इकाइयां दिल्ली प्रदूषण नियंत्रण समिति से वैध संचालन की सहमति के बिना संचालित होती हुई मिली। 44 मामलों में पर्यावरणीय मुआवजा लगाया गया और 33 इकाइयों को बंद करने के आदेश जारी किए गए। मुख्यमंत्री ने सोशल मीडिया पर एक वीडियो संदेश के माध्यम से कहा कि निर्माण स्थलों पर धूल प्रदूषण और नियमों के उल्लंघन को रोकने के लिए इस बार 500 वर्ग मीटर से बड़े सभी निर्माण स्थलों की डस्ट पोर्टल और एआई-सक्षम कैमरों से निगरानी की जाएगी।

दिल्ली के शहरी विकास मंत्री आशीष सूद ने बताया कि मास्टर प्लान फॉर दिल्ली 2047 का लक्ष्य किफायती आवास, पुरानी और अनधिकृत कॉलोनियों के पुनर्विकास, बेहतर सम्पर्क और हरित क्षेत्र बढ़ाकर दिल्ली को आधुनिक तथा टिकाऊ राजधानी बनाना है। मीडिया से बातचीत में, उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली में जमीन सीमित है, लेकिन हमारी सोच और विजन सीमित नहीं है। इस मास्टर प्लान के प्रमुख प्रावधानों में 30 मीटर या उससे अधिक चौड़ी सड़कों पर ग्राउंड फ्लोर पर व्यावसायिक गतिविधियों, 500 मीटर के दायरे में आवागमन के लिए उचित प्रबंध और पुरानी कॉलोनियों के पुनर्विकास की व्यवस्था शामिल है।

दिल्ली नगर निगम ने डेंगू, मलेरिया और चिकनगुनिया की रोकथाम के लिए मॉस्किटो टर्मिनेटर ट्रेन-2026 अभियान शुरू किया है। दिल्ली के महापौर प्रवेश वाही ने कल नई दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन से ट्रेन को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। अभियान के पहले चरण में लगभग 75 किलोमीटर रेलवे ट्रैक और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में एंटी-लार्वल दवाओं का छिड़काव किया जाएगा। ट्रेन के साथ पावर स्प्रे टैंकर तैनात रहेंगे, ताकि जलभराव और मच्छरों के संभावित प्रजनन स्थलों तक दवा पहुंचाई जा सके। निगम के अनुसार, अभियान अगले महीने तक चरणबद्ध तरीके से दिल्ली के विभिन्न रेलवे रूटों पर चलेगा। महापौर ने दिल्ली के लोगों से भी घर और आसपास पानी जमा न होने देने, कूलर तथा पानी की टंकियों की नियमित सफाई करने और मच्छरों के प्रजनन स्थलों को खत्म करने की अपील की।

Chief Minister D K Shivakumar yesterday launched KEO, an AI-enabled computing device developed through KEONICS, with the aim of expanding access to artificial intelligence and emerging technologies among government-school students.
The government will initially deploy 1,000 KEO AI PCs in government schools, particularly in rural areas, with the long-term goal of covering every government school in Karnataka.
Shivakumar said KEO would help students learn coding, AI, machine learning and electronics, while enabling teachers to use AI-based learning tools.

महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने राज्य के सभी विभागों को निर्देश दिया है कि वे इस वर्ष केंद्र प्रायोजित योजनाओं के तहत प्राप्त धनराशि का 95 प्रतिशत से अधिक उपयोग सुनिश्चित करें। शुक्रवार को मुंबई में हुई समीक्षा बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस ने विभागों को उपलब्ध धनराशि, व्यय और शेष राशि का नियमित आकलन करने और समय पर उपयोग सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि महाराष्ट्र के पास अगले वर्ष केंद्रीय निधि से लगभग 16,000 से 17,000 करोड़ रुपये का उपयोग करने की क्षमता है, जिसमें से एक बड़ा हिस्सा पूंजीगत व्यय में जाने की उम्मीद है। मुख्य सचिव को उपयोग की निगरानी के लिए एक तंत्र स्थापित करने और हर तीन महीने में समीक्षा करने का निर्देश दिया गया है।

महाराष्ट्र सरकार कृषि उत्पादकता बढ़ाने के लिए कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (एआई), उपग्रह प्रौद्योगिकी, ड्रोन, आईओटी सेंसर और डेटा एनालिटिक्स का उपयोग करते हुए एक पायलट परियोजना शुरू करेगी। मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने शुक्रवार को परियोजना की समीक्षा की और कृषि विभाग को कपास, सोयाबीन, गन्ना, संतरा, हल्दी, प्याज और मक्का जैसी फसलों को कवर करते हुए फसल-वार और क्षेत्र-वार डिजिटल सिस्टम विकसित करने का निर्देश दिया। इससे पहले गन्ने की एक पायलट परियोजना में औसत उत्पादन 65.45 टन से बढ़कर 73.12 टन प्रति एकड़ हो गया था, जबकि एआई-आधारित सिंचाई प्रबंधन से लगभग 42 प्रतिशत जल संरक्षण हुआ था। पहले चरण में 10,000 किसानों को शामिल किया जाएगा और सफल होने पर इस मॉडल का विस्तार पूरे महाराष्ट्र में किया जाएगा।

Telangana hosted the PM GatiShakti and LEADS 2025 Dissemination Workshop for Southern States in Hyderabad yesterday, bringing together senior officials from eight southern states and union territories to discuss ways to improve logistics efficiency across the region.
The workshop was organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Government of India, along with the Commerce and Export Promotion Department, Government of Telangana. This is the first time Telangana has hosted the Southern Regional Workshop.

आधुनिक हिंदी कविता के महत्वपूर्ण कवि गिरिजाकुमार माथुर की जयंती पर हम स्मरण कर रहे हैं उनके साहित्य जगत के योगदान को। गिरिजाकुमार माथुर का जन्म मध्य प्रदेश के अशोकनगर में हुआ 22 अगस्त 1919 को हुआ। गिरिजाकुमार माथुर उन रचनाकारों में थे, जिन्होंने हिंदी कविता को नई संवेदना, नए बिंब और आधुनिक जीवन-बोध से समृद्ध किया। अज्ञेय द्वारा संपादित प्रसिद्ध काव्य-संकलन ‘तार सप्तक’ के कवियों में उनका विशेष स्थान था। मंजीर’, ‘नाश और निर्माण’, ‘धूप के धान’, ‘शिलापंख चमकीले’ और ‘मैं वक़्त के हूँ सामने’ उनकी चर्चित कृतियाँ हैं। उनकी कविता ‘छाया मत छूना मन’ आज भी पाठकों के बीच लोकप्रिय है। गिरिजाकुमार माथुर की रचनात्मक पहचान केवल कविता तक सीमित नहीं थी। उन्होंने नाटक, आलोचना और गीत के क्षेत्र में भी उल्लेखनीय योगदान दिया। लोकप्रिय गीत ‘हम होंगे कामयाब’ का हिंदी रूपांतर भी उनकी साहित्यिक-सांस्कृतिक विरासत का एक यादगार हिस्सा है।

Today is the death anniversary of Vimi, an Indian actress who acted in Indian films such as Hamraaz, Aabroo, a Punjabi film with Prithviraj Kapoor, and Patanga. आज हम स्मरण कर रहे हैं हिंदी साहित्य के महान व्यंग्यकार हरिशंकर परसाई को, जिनकी लेखनी ने समाज की विसंगतियों पर न केवल तीखा प्रहार किया, बल्कि हमें आत्मचिंतन के लिए भी प्रेरित किया। हरिशंकर परसाई का जन्म 22 अगस्त, 1922 को मध्य प्रदेश के होशंगाबाद ज़िले, जिसे अब नर्मदापुरम के नाम से जाना जाता है। उन्होंने हिंदी व्यंग्य को साहित्य की एक सशक्त और प्रतिष्ठित विधा के रूप में स्थापित किया। परसाई जी का व्यंग्य केवल हँसाने के लिए नहीं था। उनकी रचनाओं में आम आदमी का जीवन, सामाजिक विषमता, राजनीतिक पाखंड, भ्रष्टाचार और रूढ़ियों के प्रति गहरी संवेदना दिखाई देती है। वे सरल भाषा में ऐसी बात कह जाते थे, जो पाठक को देर तक सोचने के लिए विवश करती थी। उनकी प्रमुख कृतियों में ‘भोलाराम का जीव’, ‘सदाचार का ताबीज’, ‘विकलांग श्रद्धा का दौर’, ‘रानी नागफनी की कहानी’, ‘तब की बात और थी’, ‘पगडंडियों का जमाना’ और ‘निठल्ले की डायरी’ विशेष रूप से उल्लेखनीय हैं। उनकी रचनाओं ने हिंदी साहित्य में व्यंग्य को नई ऊँचाई दी। ‘विकलांग श्रद्धा का दौर’ के लिए उन्हें साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। वर्ष 1992 में भारत सरकार ने उन्हें पद्मश्री से अलंकृत किया। परसाई जी की सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि शायद यह है कि उन्होंने व्यंग्य को समाज के प्रति जिम्मेदार साहित्य बनाया। उनकी लेखनी हमें बताती है कि सच्चा व्यंग्य किसी व्यक्ति का उपहास नहीं, बल्कि व्यवस्था और समाज की कमियों को पहचानने का माध्यम है। इस महान रचनाकार को उनकी जयंती पर विनम्र श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित।

He appeared in 22 films between 1937 and 1980, and he directed 20 films between 1942 and 1974. His directorial venture Kuwara Baap was one of the winners for the BFJA – Best Indian Films Award for best film for 1943.
His film Raja has been called “a milestone of art and skill in motion pictures”. His film Veer Kunal was a huge box office success. He directed Dilip Kumar with Kamini Kaushal in Nadiya Ke Paar, which became the sixth highest grossing Indian film of 1948. His 1954 film Mayurpankh was entered into the 1954 Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Grand Prize of the Festival.

आज पुण्यतिथि है काशी के प्रकांड विद्वान रेवा प्रसाद द्विवेदी की। साहित्यशास्त्र के मूर्धन्य विद्वान रेवा प्रसाद द्विवेदी ने साहित्य और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में कई प्रतिमान गढ़े। वह काशी हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय के संस्कृत विद्या धर्म विज्ञान संकाय के पूर्व संकाय प्रमुख रहे। साहित्यशास्त्र के साहित्य विभाग में विभागाध्यक्ष रहे। अनेकों ग्रंथों के रचनाकार रेवा प्रसाद द्विवेदी के तीन महाकाव्य अद्भुत हैं। 20 वीं शताब्दी का सबसे बड़ा महाकाव्य ‘स्वातंत्र्यसंभव’ जो 103 सर्ग का है। संस्कृत साहित्य के महाकवि, नाटककार और समीक्षक पंडित रेवा प्रसाद पंडित द्विवेदी ने संस्कृत भाषा में तीन महाकाव्य, 20 खंडकाव्य और दो नाटकों से ज्यादा कृतियों की रचना की थी। काशी हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय में वह 1971 से 1990 तक संस्कृत के प्रोफेसर, विभागाध्यक्ष और संकाय प्रमुख रहे। उनके महाकाव्य ‘स्वातंत्र्यसम्भवम’ के लिए उन्हें 1991 में साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया था।
