Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) says, it has successfully carried out three major tests of the Gaganyaan crew module systems. The first test pertained to ensuring an upright position for the crew module after splashdown in the sea, considered one of the most important crew safety requirements. The second test involved examining the separation of the umbilical mechanism that serves as a link between the crew module, where astronauts live, and the service module, which provides power and propulsion. The third test validated the structural integrity of the crew module during the apex cover separation event.

The Government has refuted a fake image circulating on social media claiming that ethanol-blended petrol can cause problems in a vehicle’s fuel tank. The Press Information Bureau’s (PIB) Fact Check Unit has termed the claim as false. It said, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has clarified that E20 petrol supplied by oil marketing companies conforms to the standards prescribed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The Ministry said ethanol and petrol are completely miscible and do not separate or form layers when the fuel meets the prescribed standards. It further assured that ethanol-blended petrol supplied in India adheres to stringent quality standards and undergoes rigorous testing before being made available to consumers.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has launched the next phase of the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ campaign. According to the Ministry, Registrations will begin today at MY Bharat Portal. District-level competitions will be held from 24th to 27th of this month, followed by State-level rounds. State winners will compete in the National Finale at the National Youth Summit in New Delhi on 12th and 13th of next month. Youth aged 15 to 29 years can participate in five categories: Dance, Music, Reel & Short Film, Nukkad Natak, and Slam Poetry. Entries can be submitted in Hindi, English, or any regional language.

Researchers at IIT Madras have developed a virtual reality and artificial intelligence-based system to identify whether children aged 11 and 12 need academic support, even before it becomes visible in school report cards. In a study involving 120 students, children completed VR-based tasks such as solving maths problems, reading clocks and forming words. The 15-minute assessment analysed response time, mistakes and other learning patterns using AI. The system is based on Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget’s theory of cognitive development and was developed by research scholar T.V.Mridulla and Prof. Manicannan from the Department of applied mechanics and bio medical engineering.

The Chennai City Police has announced a year-long traffic diversion at Thirumangalam from today till July 13 next year for the construction of an elevated corridor under Chennai Metro Phase 2, Corridor 5. महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने मुंबई वाटर मेट्रो परियोजना के लिए सिंधुदुर्ग में 150 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से इलेक्ट्रिक नाव निर्माण संयंत्र स्थापित करने के लिए एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। पहले चरण का परिचालन इस वर्ष दिसंबर तक शुरू होने की उम्मीद है। यह परियोजना 200 से अधिक इलेक्ट्रिक-हाइब्रिड नौकाओं का उपयोग करके 21 जलमार्गों के माध्यम से मुंबई, ठाणे, नवी मुंबई, वसई और पनवेल को जोड़ेगी।

Ernő Rubik (Hungarian: born 13 July 1944) is a Hungarian architect and inventor widely known for creating the Rubik’s Cube (1974), Rubik’s Magic, and Rubik’s Snake. Rubik studied sculpture at the Academy of Applied Arts and Design in Budapest and architecture at the Technical University, likewise located in Budapest. While a professor of design at the academy, he pursued his hobby of building geometric models. One of these was a prototype of his cube, made of 27 wooden blocks; it took Rubik a month to solve the cube after scrambling it. It proved a useful tool for teaching algebraic group theory, and in late 1977, Konsumex, Hungary’s state trading company, began marketing it. By 1980, Rubik’s Cube was marketed throughout the world, and over 100 million authorized units were sold, mostly during its subsequent three years of popularity. Approximately 50 books were published describing how to solve the puzzle of Rubik’s Cube. आज जयंती है केसरबाई केरकर कीl उनका जन्म- 13 जुलाई, 1892 को केरी गाँव, तालुका पोंडा, गोवा में हुआ थाl (मृत्यु- 16 सितम्बर, 1977) वे भारत की प्रसिद्ध शास्त्रीय गायिका थीं। वे जयपुर घराने के संस्थापक उस्ताद अल्लादिया ख़ाँ की शिष्या थीं। सिर्फ आठ साल की उम्र में ही केसरबाई केरकर ने संगीत की शिक्षा शुरू कर दी थी और गाना शुरू कर दिया था। केसरबाई केरकर को कला क्षेत्र में योगदान के लिए संगीत नाटक अकादमी पुरस्कार और सन 1969 में पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया गया था। एक और बहुत बड़ी उपलब्धि केसरबाई केरकर के नाम है। उनका गीत जिसका शीर्षक है ‘जात कहाँ हो…’ को अंतरिक्ष यान वायजर 1 और वायजर 2 की मदद से अंतरिक्ष में भेजा गया है।
