As part of the celebrations leading up to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026, the Ministry of Ayush, in collaboration with the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) and Habuild, will organize a landmark global online yoga event today. The online yoga session will be held from 6:15 AM to 7:35 AM and is expected to witness participation from more than 130 countries. Ayush Minister, Prataprao Jadhav will also participate in the initiative. Ayush Ministry said that the event aims to create a new world record for the most viewers for a YouTube Live Yoga Stream, bringing together yoga practitioners and wellness enthusiasts from around the world on a single digital platform.
The Ministry has invited citizens, yoga practitioners, educational institutions, wellness organizations, community groups, and members of the Indian diaspora worldwide to join the event and contribute to this historic global endeavour. It added that the initiative is designed to showcase the universal appeal of yoga and its growing acceptance as a powerful tool for promoting holistic health and well-being.

ट्रम्प ने प्रस्तावित समझौते की तुलना 2015 की संयुक्त कार्ययोजना से भी की। उन्होंने कहा कि उनके प्रस्तावित समझौते से ईरान के परमाणु हथियारों पर पूरी तरह अंकुश लगेगा। उन्होंने दावा किया कि ईरान के परमाणु कार्यक्रम पर प्रभावी रोक लगायी गयी है और शेष परमाणु सामग्री बाद में नष्ट कर दी जायेगी।
उधर ईरान के विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता इस्माइल बाघेई ने कहा है कि तुरंत किसी समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर की उम्मीद नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह समझौता आज नहीं होगा, हो सकता है कि अगले दिनों में ऐसा संभव हो। ईरान के लोक प्रसारक के अनुसार श्री बाघेई ने दूसरे पक्ष की विसंगति के कारण जारी वार्ता प्रक्रिया से तुरंत कोई उम्मीद जाहिर नहीं की।

Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman V Narayanan has informed that they have collaborated with the Department of Atomic Energy to develop an advanced artificial heating system that can protect lunar lander from the freezing weather of the Moon. Addressing the CSIR-RISE Conclave in Bengaluru, ISRO chief explained that Chandrayaan 3 lander Vikram fuelled by solar energy operated only for 14 days on Moon. ISRO will now work with the Atomic Energy department to develop a lunar lander that can survive on the Moon for up to 200 days. This lander with artificial heaters can survive harsh weather conditions on the Moon. This he added will help long duration lunar exploration in future missions.

The State School Education Minister Rajmohan has said that lessons on artificial intelligence, augmented and Virtual Reality, HTML and coding will be introduced in 5000 schools on a pilot basis. After his first review meeting of the School department, he said that infrastructural changes in schools would be the first ste. He said that the idea is to create the students to have their own ChatGPTs and Geminis in the future. He said that training would be carried out for teachers for the new class 1 to 3rd textbooks, and trainers can be roped in . He said that vacancies and recruitment can be done with the help of subject teachers. He also told that measures would be rolled out periodically and that discussions on what and how to implement them would be held to expedite the process.

In view of the delay in revaluation of CBSE class XII answer scripts and the NEET Re – exam , Tamilnadu , alongwith several other States, has sought a one month extension of the admission deadline from All India Council for Technical Education. According to the AICTE academic calendar for 2026-27 the last date for admissions in technical Courses against the vacancies is August 14. It also asked the colleges to begin classes for first year students from August 1. The engineering rank list is expected to be released on June 29 but it will depend on the revaluation results. CBSE will directly communicate the change of marks to the TNEZ and the Committee will award the rank to the Candidates. TNEA also has assigned a ten digit random number to all the candidates to be used to break the tie in the ranking. The State selection committee will begin admissions to allied health courses including nursing, physio therapy and optometry ahead of medical admissions. The Centre exempted allied health courses from NEET this year following representations from several States.

नई दिल्ली नगरपालिका परिषद (एनडीएमसी) ने अपने क्षेत्र के करदाताओं के लिए वित्तीय वर्ष 2026-27 के संपत्ति कर पर 10 प्रतिशत छूट की घोषणा की है। परिषद ने बताया है कि यह छूट उन करदाताओं को दी जाएगी, जो अपने संपत्ति कर का भुगतान इस महीने की 30 तारीख या उससे पहले कर देंगे। एनडीएमसी ने अपने क्षेत्र के सभी संपत्ति धारकों से इस लाभकारी योजना का लाभ उठाते हुए समय पर संपत्ति कर का भुगतान करने का आग्रह किया है। उन्होने कहा है कि एनडीएमसी क्षेत्र के करदाता परिषद के ऑनलाइन भुगतान पोर्टल अथवा परिषद द्वारा अधिसूचित अन्य अधिकृत भुगतान माध्यमों के जरिए भी अपने संपत्ति कर का भुगतान कर सकते हैं।

दिल्ली के उप-राज्यपाल तरणजीत सिंह संधू के निर्देशों के बाद दिल्ली पुलिस ने राजधानी में सुरक्षा और बेहतर यातायात प्रबंधन के लिए व्यापक दिशा-निर्देश जारी किए हैं। इसके अंतर्गत जिला और यातायात पुलिस की सड़कों पर मौजूदगी बढ़ेगी। पुलिस आयुक्त ने पुलिस कर्मियों को संयुक्त पैदल गश्त के निर्देश दिए हैं। पुलिसकर्मियों को शाम 5 बजे से रात 8 बजे तक दफ्तर के काम और आंतरिक बैठकों से बचने के आदेश दिए गए हैं। साथ ही, जिला और यातायात पुलिस की टीमें सप्ताह में चार दिन संयुक्त रूप से गश्त करेंगी।

Union Science and Technology minister Dr Jitendra Singh has highlighted the growing presence of India in the field of research and innovation. Speaking at the sixth CSIR RISE conclave in Bengaluru, he stressed that India is gradually moving away from a degree centric approach by adopting the National Education Policy that encourages aptitude, innovation and problem solving capabilities. India is today sixth in the world in terms of patents filed, India’s ranking in Global Innovation Index climbed from 81st place to 38th place, 10 percent of top 100 citations are from India and number of Indian PhD holders have increased exponentially across the globe. He said that a conducive ecosystem was created for the start-ups in the country, resulting in India today having two lakh 30 thousand start-ups that have fetched 25 lakh jobs in tier II and III cities. The minister added that the policy reforms and industry involvement has increased research and innovation activities in biotechnology, deep ocean exploration and nuclear energy.

मुंबई उपनगरीय संरक्षक मंत्री आशीष शेलार ने रेलवे, बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम बेस्ट, जिला प्रशासन, मेट्रो प्राधिकरण और अन्य एजेंसियों को मुंबई में मानसून के दौरान संभावित बाढ़ की स्थिति से निपटने के लिए एक एकीकृत योजना तैयार करने और समन्वय से काम करने का निर्देश दिया है। शेलार ने पश्चिमी रेलवे मुख्यालय में एक समन्वय बैठक में बीएमसी, मध्य रेलवे, पश्चिमी रेलवे, जिला प्रशासन और अग्निशमन विभाग के अधिकारी उपस्थित थे। पश्चिमी रेलवे ने बताया कि चर्चगेट और विरार के बीच रेलवे ट्रैक के नीचे बेहतर जल निकासी के लिए 15 सूक्ष्म सुरंगें बनाई गई हैं, जिनमें से चार इस वर्ष पूरी हो चुकी हैं। जल पंपों की संख्या बढ़ाकर 126 कर दी गई है और लगभग 2,400 वैगन लोड गाद हटाई जा चुकी है। मध्य रेलवे ने भी 220 पंप लगाकर पंपिंग क्षमता बढ़ा दी है। 350 किलोमीटर लंबे रेलवे मार्ग पर 160 नालों की सफाई पूरी हो चुकी है।

बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम (बीएमसी) ने नागरिकों को उच्च ज्वार के दौरान या ऐसे दिनों में समुद्र तट के पास न जाने की सलाह दी है। बीएमसी ने सितंबर तक मुंबई में आने वाले उच्च ज्वार का विस्तृत समयक्रम भी जारी किया है। दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून जून से सितंबर तक रहता है, इस दौरान ज्वारीय गतिविधि और वर्षा आमतौर पर अधिक होती है। इससे तटीय बाढ़ का खतरा बढ़ जाता है, खासकर निचले इलाकों में। शहर में 14 से 19 जून तक 4.64 से 4.87 मीटर के स्तर तक उच्च ज्वार आने की आशंका है।

World Blood Donor Day is held on June 14 each year. The event was organised for the first time in 2004, by four core international organizations: the World Health Organization, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies; the International Federation of Blood Donor Organizations (IFBDO) and the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products, and to thank blood donors for their voluntary, life-saving gifts of blood.

आज पुण्यतिथि है, प्रसिद्ध भौतिक विज्ञानी, कार्यमाणिवकम श्रीनिवास कृष्णन की। ‘मद्रास विश्वविद्यालय’ ने इन्हें ‘डी. एस. सी.’ की उपाधि प्रदान की थी। 1954 में पद्मभूषण से सम्मानित श्रीनिवास कृष्णन, सन 1945-1946 में ‘भारतीय राष्ट्रीय विज्ञान अकादमी’ के अध्यक्ष चुने गए थे। भौतिकी की प्रत्येक शाखा में इनका महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा। प्रकाशिकी, चुंबकत्व, इलेक्ट्रॉनिकी, ठोस अवस्था भौतिकी तथा विशेषकर धातु भौतिकी पर इन्होंने अनेक खोज की थीं। सी. वी. रमन के साथ ‘रमण प्रभाव’ की खोज में भी इनका योगदान था।
Today is the death anniversary of Fakir Mohan Senapati, referred to as Utkala Byasa Kabi (Odisha’s Vyasa), was an Indian writer, poet, philosopher and social reformer. He played a leading role in establishing the distinct identity of Odia, a language mainly spoken in the Indian state of Odisha. He is regarded as the father of Odia nationalism and modern Odia literature. Senapati dedicated his life to the progress of Odia language in the later 19th and early 20th century. He is called the father of Odia fiction. At his native place, school, colleges and universities are constructed in his memory like Fakir Mohan College and Fakir Mohan University.

आज ही पुण्यतिथि है रुद्रवीणा वादक के नाम से समूचे देश में प्रसिद्ध, उस्ताद असद अली खां की। ख़ाँ साहब को वर्ष 2008 में पद्मभूषण से सम्मानित किया गया था। श्री असद अली ख़ाँ आकाशवाणी और दूरदर्शन के उच्च श्रेणी के कलाकार थे। उन्हें, वर्ष 1994 में मध्य प्रदेश शासन द्वारा तानसेन सम्मान तथा वर्ष 1977 में संगीत नाटक अकादमी सम्मान से विभूषित किया जा चुका है।

Bharat Bhushan began his career in 1941 with a small role in Kidar Sharma’s superhit film Chitralekha. In 1952, he appeared and played the lead in Vijay Bhatt’s musical romantic drama film Baiju Bawra. The film emerged a huge blockbuster at the box office and made Bhushan a bankable star. Kirron made her film debut in 1983 in the Punjabi feature film Aasra Pyar Da.
Her comeback film was Sardari Begum (1996), directed by Shyam Benegal. Her performance received high critical acclaim and earned her the National Film Award – Special Jury Award (feature film).
In 2002, Kher appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period romantic drama Devdas (2002), in which her performance received widespread critical acclaim, receiving her first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
