Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and UN Secretary-General António Guterres in New Delhi yesterday ahead of the 18th BRICS Summit. During his meeting with President Vladimir Putin, the two leaders reviewed progress in India-Russia cooperation across a wide range of areas, including politics, trade and economy, defence, energy, space, skill mobility and people-to-people ties. Both sides also shared perspectives on key regional and global issues of mutual interest, including the conflicts in West Asia and the Black Sea region.
In his meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Prime Minister Modi discussed bilateral relations and recent developments in West Asia. Mr Modi reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.

प्रधानमंत्री किसान मानधन योजना के आज सात वर्ष पूरे हो गए हैं। छोटे और सीमांत किसानों को सामाजिक सुरक्षा प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से यह योजना वर्ष 2019 में आज ही के दिन शुरू की गई थी।
योजना के अंतर्गत छोटे और सीमांत किसानों को 60 वर्ष की आयु पूरी होने के बाद हर महीने कम से कम तीन हजार रुपये की पेंशन सुनिश्चित की गई है। इस पेंशन योजना का उद्देश्य किसानों को वृद्धावस्था में आर्थिक स्थिरता और सम्मान के साथ जीवन जीने में सहायता देना है।

सरकार ने प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना- शहरी – पीएमएवाई-यू के द्वितीय चरण के अंतर्गत 18 लाख 77 हजार मकानों को मंजूरी दी है। इससे योजना के क्रियान्वयन को और गति मिलेगी तथा शहरी क्षेत्रों में सभी के लिए आवास के लक्ष्य को आगे बढ़ाने में मदद मिलेगी।
यह निर्णय बृहस्पतिवार को नई दिल्ली में केंद्रीय स्वीकृति और निगरानी समिति की नौवीं बैठक में लिया गया।

Amid the worsening flood situation in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has stepped up relief and rescue operations to assist affected families. At least 25 districts are currently affected by flooding following heavy rains and the release of water from dams.
” According to the state relief commissioner’s Office, around 8,000 people were shifted to safe locations on Thursday alone, taking the total number of evacuated people to around 21 thousand. Affected people are also being provided safe shelter, with around 3 thousand individuals currently staying in relief camps. Keeping in view the risk of disease outbreaks during floods, the Health Department has also remained fully active. A total of 1,165 medical teams have been deployed in affected areas. Meanwhile Intermittent rain continues in many districts of the state including the capital Lucknow. Saudi Arabia said that it has shut down a major cross-country oil pipeline a day after it was attacked by drones. The statement by country’s Ministry of Energy said the East-West pipeline after it was attacked the day before. The statement called the shutdown a precautionary measure. The East-West pipeline has played a key role in Saudi Arabia’s ability to continue exporting oil following the disruption of the Strait of Hormuz during Iran’s war with the US and Israel. The Saudi Foreign Ministry blamed the attack on several drones that came from Iraq. The Iraqi government condemned the assault and ordered an investigation.
The shutdown comes as Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen captured port of Mokha and a strategic island of Perim in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, at the southern entrance to the Red Sea, opening a new front in the ongoing West Asia conflict.

The Greater Chennai Corporation held a meeting and support camp for out of school children with disabilities under Joint Commissioner for Education K.Karpagam . A total of 7302 out of school children have been identified of which 509 children have since been enrolled in schools and 263 admitted to industrial training institutes. A total of 28 children with disabilities and special needs required additional support. Psychologists also held individual counselling sessions with children and parents to assess each child’s educational psychological and family related needs.

With the entire 5068 route kilometre broad gauge network electrified, the zone can facilitate seamless electric train operations across the network without the need for traction change marking a milestone in its modernisation efforts. Karnataka Upalokayukta Justice K.N.Phaneendra has ordered a Suo-moto complaint against media reports on the supply of substandard shoes to the students of Government schools. He has directed the Superintendent of Police of Karnataka Lokayukta of respective districts to examine the relevant documents, conduct a preliminary investigation in this regard and submit a preliminary report along with the documents within two weeks. Various daily newspapers in the state had reported that the shoes distributed to government school children in the current year are of poor quality and were torn within a week of use.

Born on 12 September 1894, he wrote about rural Bengal, nature, poverty, childhood, family relationships and human struggles. His most famous works include Pather Panchali, Aparajito, Aranyak, ChanderPahar, Adarsha Hindu Hotel and Ichhamati.
His most famous novel, Pather Panchali, introduced us to the unforgettable world of Apu and Durga. What makes the book so powerful is that it doesn’t need grand events to move us. A childhood afternoon, a journey through the countryside, a family meal, the excitement of seeing something new — Bibhutibhushan could turn these small moments into something extraordinary.
And that is perhaps the magic of his writing: he made the ordinary feel beautiful.
His work was deeply connected with nature. The villages, forests, rivers, fields and changing seasons of Bengal are not merely backgrounds in his stories; they almost become characters themselves. When you read Bibhutibhushan, you don’t just see Bengal — you can almost hear it, smell it and feel it.
Another important work is Aranyak, which reflects his deep relationship with the natural world and also explores the complicated relationship between human beings and the forest.
He reminds us to slow down and notice things — a child’s curiosity, the beauty of a landscape, the sadness of separation, or the quiet dignity of an ordinary person.
Perhaps that is why Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay continues to feel so relevant even today. He teaches us that a life does not have to be extraordinary to be worth telling a beautiful story about.
What makes an ordinary life extraordinary? Perhaps, no one understood this better than Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay.

हारमोनियम पर उनकी अच्छी पकड़ थी. संगीत के प्रति जुनून उन्हें मुंबई खींच लाया, लेकिन फिल्मी दुनिया में जगह बनाना आसान नहीं था। उनकी जिंदगी का सबसे बड़ा मोड़ तब आया, जब उनकी मुलाकात शंकर से हुई। शंकर ने जयकिशन के हुनर को पहचाना और उन्हें पृथ्वी थिएटर में हारमोनियम बजाने का मौका दिलाया. यहां दोनों ने साथ काम किया। पृथ्वी थिएटर के दौरान ही राज कपूर की नजर इस प्रतिभाशाली जोड़ी पर पड़ी. पहले दोनों ने फिल्म ‘आग’ में संगीतकार राम गांगुली के सहायक के रूप में काम किया और फिर 1949 में आई ‘बरसात’ ने शंकर-जयकिशन की किस्मत बदल दी।

बरसात’ के संगीत की सफलता के बाद शंकर-जयकिशन हिंदी फिल्मों के सबसे बड़े नामों में शामिल होने लगे. इसके बाद ‘आवारा’, ‘श्री 420’, ‘चोरी चोरी’, ‘अनाड़ी’, ‘बसंत बहार’, ‘जंगली’, ‘संगम’, ‘सूरज’, ‘ब्रह्मचारी’, ‘मेरा नाम जोकर’ और ‘अंदाज’ जैसी फिल्मों में उनकी धुनों ने दर्शकों का दिल जीत लिया। तो आइये सुनते हैं फिल्म श्री 420 से ये गीत
आइ फिल्म ‘अंदाज़’ का संगीत प्रसिद्ध संगीतकार जोड़ी शंकर-जयकिशन द्वारा दिया गया था, जिसके गीत हसरत जयपुरी ने लिखे थे।

12 सितंबर 1971 को जयकिशन का निधन लिवर सिरोसिस के कारण हो गया. उनके जाने के बाद शंकर ने संगीत देना जारी रखा और कई फिल्मों में संगीतकार का नाम शंकर-जयकिशन ही रखा गया।
