As part of India’s BRICS Presidency 2026, the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is hosting the BRICS Youth Council Meeting and the BRICS Youth Summit in Gandhinagar, Gujarat today.
The two-day event highlights ‘Yuva Shakti’ as a central force for innovation and sustainable development. These discussions will culminate in the BRICS Youth Ministers’ Meeting in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on August 22nd, where leaders will adopt the Joint Ministerial Statement on Youth Cooperation.
Official representatives, young innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from member and partner countries are participating in thematic discussions to finalise the BRICS Youth Joint Statement and strengthen people-to-people ties across member nations.
