BJP today demanded that the Congress party support the women’s reservation bill in Parliament instead of playing politics around it. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, BJP National General Secretary Smriti Irani said the Congress party only claims that they support women. She asked them to prove it by helping implement the 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament.

Ms Irani appealed to all political parties to work together so that women get more seats in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. The BJP Leader added that no political party is bigger than Parliament or the Constitution. She said the dignity of the nation and the voice of the people must always come first.
