BJP President Nitin Nabin today participated in a programme at the party headquarters in New Delhi to mark the 100th birthday of veteran BJP leader Bharat Ratna Lal Krishna Advani.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Nabin said the younger generation should draw inspiration from the personality and life of Mr Advani to imbibe the values of dignity, integrity, and sensitivity that are essential in politics. He said, with the motto of nation first, Mr Advani resolved to take the country forward. The BJP president said it is because of the determination, dedication and leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani that the party has grown and expanded across the country, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is carrying that continuous journey forward.

Mr Advani’s daughter Pratibha Advani and several party leaders attended the event. A puja and havan was also organised at the programme, and it was followed by the screening of a 20-minute video highlighting key speeches and episodes from Mr Advani’s life.
