BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dr. K. Laxman participated in a cycling ride to raise awareness against drug abuse. The ride, titled “Nasha Mukt Bharat – Cycling Ride”, was organised by social organisation Akshara Spoorthy.

The cyclists started from the Balahanuman Temple in Seetharampet, in the Goshamahal constituency, and rode to the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Assembly premises. Many young people joined the ride, carrying a clear message: say no to drugs.

On the occasion, Dr. K. Laxman highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse, saying that drugs damage health, break families and destroy the future of young people. He urged the youth to stay away from drugs and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

The organisers said that protecting the nation’s future was everyone’s responsibility. They emphasised that parents, teachers and friends must all play their part in preventing drug abuse. They also highlighted cycling and sports as effective ways to stay fit and avoid harmful habits. The ride concluded with a pledge to build a drug-free society.
