BJP holds ‘Save Democracy, End Anarchy’ campaign march in Haryana

Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah led a padyatra (foot march) in Karnal, Haryana, as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Save Democracy, End Anarchy’ (Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao) campaign.

Addressing the gathering before the march, Mr Shah said that Parliament is the foremost forum for discussion in a democracy. However, he alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi neither allows Parliament to function nor participates in parliamentary debates. He asserted that the BJP would hold Mr Gandhi accountable everywhere- on the streets, in Parliament and in the Legislative Assembly. He added that the ‘Save Democracy, End Anarchy’ campaign had served as an effective means of responding to him.

Union Minister of Power Manohar Lal, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan, BJP State President Dr Archana Gupta and several Haryana government ministers are also participating in the event.
