The BJP today hit out at the AAP led government in Punjab over the issue of alleged corruption in transfer and posting of officials in the state. Addressing media in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia alleged that these days, transfers and posting of senior officials are being done according to the rate card. He also alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s OSD is involved in this matter. Mr Bhatia added that the Enforcement Directorate investigation has revealed the fact that the rate card specifies the price to be paid for the transfer and posting in a particular department. He also accused the Punjab Police of not registering an FIR in an alleged cash for transfer scam despite being a cognizable offence. The BJP spokesperson also demanded the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister in the matter and CBI should investigate the matter.
