BJP National President Nitin Nabin, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, today reviewed the party’s organisational preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in Meerut. During the review meeting, preparations were assessed at the booth, Shakti Kendra, Mandal and district levels. Mr Nabin, who is on a two-day visit to Western Uttar Pradesh, also interacted directly with party workers. Uttar Pradesh BJP President and Union Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary was also present.
The meeting discussed the organisational position, preparations for the forthcoming elections and feedback received from the grassroots. Addressing a conference of Shakti Kendra convenors, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called upon party workers to work for society with a sense of putting the nation first. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the world is witnessing a new India.
He said that since Narendra Modi assumed the office of Prime Minister in 2014, India has emerged as a new India-one that takes pride in its heritage while maintaining the momentum of development. He added that India no longer faces an identity crisis and that its economy has moved from the bottom five to the top five globally.
BJP National President Nitin Nabin described Meerut as the land of revolution. Referring to the transformation witnessed in Uttar Pradesh over the past nine-and-a-half years, he said that the state today has an atmosphere of trust, the rule of law and is progressing on the path of development.
Mr Nabin also interacted with young people and described the youth as one of the country’s current strengths. The BJP National President will visit Saharanpur tomorrow, where he is scheduled to hold a meeting with MPs, MLAs, district-level office bearers and former office bearers.
