The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has conducted an enforcement raid at a unit in Mandoli area of Northeast Delhi. The BIS said that during the raid, around two thousand three hundred and fifty substandard aluminium foil paper rolls were found and seized.
The action was carried out under Section 28 of the BIS Act, 2016, following information regarding alleged non-compliance. It said that BIS officials also examined documents and records related to manufacturing, storage and compliance with BIS requirements.
The BIS added that further legal action will be taken against the concerned firm under the BIS Act, 2016, and applicable Quality Control Order provisions.
