In Bihar’s Jamui district, police have arrested five accused, including the main accused, Nandan Yadav, in connection with the alleged molestation and misbehaviour with a minor girl. Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women has written to Director General of Police Preeti Verma, seeking a detailed action-taken report within seven days. Commission Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar has directed that the case be investigated in a time-bound manner and that the victims be provided security, legal assistance and psychological counselling. 

Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Dayal said that a police raiding team arrested the main accused and another accused at around 5 this morning. During the arrest, one of the accused opened fire at the police. Both the arrested accused are adults.

The accused were identified after a detailed investigation of the viral video related to the incident. Three minors were apprehended yesterday in connection with the case.
