In Bihar, all arrangements are in place for the polling to be held in four assembly segments Imamganj, Belaganj, Tarari, and Ramgarh for the by-elections. More than 12 lakh voters will decide the political fortunes of 38 candidates, including five female nominees. Elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of the polling in all four constituencies.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) H.R. Srinivas said polling will be held at 1,277 polling booths spread over the districts of Gaya, Bhojpur, and Kaimur. The CEO of Bihar appealed to all voters to reach their concerned polling booths to exercise their right to vote.
Out of the four poll-bound assembly segments, three are presently held by the Grand Alliance and one by the NDA. The political fortunes of several kith and kin of senior leaders, including the daughter-in-law of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, the son of RJD state president Jagdanand Singh, and the son of former minister and RJD MP Surendra Prasad Yadav, will be sealed in EVMs tomorrow.
