Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi expanded the network of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to accelerate the growth of the IT sector across the country.
Speaking during a visit to STPI Patna in Patna, the Minister said that discussions were held on the development of the state’s IT ecosystem through cooperation between the Central and State Governments. He added that suggestions were also invited from entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts to further strengthen the sector.
Mr. Vaishnaw also appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary in promoting the growth of the IT sector in Bihar. He expressed confidence that continued collaboration among government agencies, industry stakeholders, and startups would help create new opportunities for innovation, investment, and employment in the state. Mr. Vaishnaw is on a day long visit to Bihar today, during which he will inaugurate various initiatives and programmes.
