The shared vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron under the India-France Year of Innovation 2026 provided the foundation of Bharat Innovates that has become a transformational platform for the future.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal made these remarks in Nice, France, while addressing the closing ceremony of Bharat Innovates. The Minister expressed hope that the event will emerge as a trendsetter in the future. Mr Goyal said that the platform has provided innovators and founders with an opportunity to represent the voice of thousands of other innovators and start-ups by providing feedback regarding the sector.

Talking about the solar energy sector in India, he highlighted that India’s solar mission increased from 20 gigawatt to 100 gigawatt before the targeted date.
