In Bangladesh, at least 17 people including seven children and five women were killed and 35 others injured on Saturday as a bus plunged into the roadside pond. The Barishal bound bus carrying 70 passengers fell into the pond at Chhatrakanada in Jhalakathi District on the Khulna-Barishal highway, said a police official on duty.

One of the survivors of this unfortunate incident said that the bus driver was not driving properly and was repeatedly talking with the helper, conductor, and other passengers.
