Bahrain today accused Iran of launching fresh drone attack targeting the island nation. Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that a number of Iranian drones targeted the country, without elaborating much on the targets of the attack. No casualties have been reported so far.
Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) strongly condemned the Iranian drone attacks on Bahrain, describing them as aggressive and hostile. In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said the attacks constituted a flagrant violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty and posed a threat to its security and stability.
Earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had struck targets linked to US forces in response to US airstrikes on Iran’s southern coast, which it claimed violated the UN Charter and the war-ending memorandum between the two countries.
The Iranian attacks came after the US Central Command (CENTCOM) conducted strikes against Tehran yesterday in response to an attack on a commercial vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
