The Ministry of Ayush has reported the results of a study performed on children afflicted with an issue of bedwetting or nocturnal enuresis.
The Ministry highlighted that the clinical study, which was conducted at the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA), Jamnagar has reported encouraging results from an integrated approach combining Ayurvedic medicine with yoga asanas in the management of bedwetting among children.
The eight-week study was conducted over approximately 38 children in the age group of 6 to 14 years. The ministry underscored that the study found children receiving Ayurvedic medicine along with regular practice of selected yoga asanas showed greater improvement compared to those receiving Ayurvedic medicine alone. The findings of the study have been published in the internationally recognised AYU Journal.
