At least 25 people were killed in a bus accident in the African island nation of Cape Verde. According to local media and officials, the accident occurred yesterday on the Campanas de Cima route, a mountainous area on Fogo Island, and involved a passenger bus. Several other people were also injured in the incident. In a social media post, Cape Verdean President Jose Maria Pereira Neves described the accident as a great catastrophe.
