Assam Rifles organised a promotional run in Agartala today to spread the message of physical fitness and healthy living in Tripura. The event aimed to encourage greater public participation in the upcoming Assam Rifles Half Marathon 2026.

 

Tripura Sports Minister Tinku Roy attended the programme as the chief guest. Along with Assam Rifles personnel, NCC cadets, students of Assam Rifles Public School and their family members enthusiastically participated in the run.

According to Assam Rifles, the initiative aimed to motivate the youth, in particular, to embrace regular exercise, participate in sports and lead disciplined lives.

 

The programme also played an important role in strengthening ties between Assam Rifles and the local community. Through such initiatives, Assam Rifles seeks to promote a culture of fitness, sportsmanship and healthy living among people across Tripura.
