Most Asian stock market indices ended on a positive note today. South Korea’s Kospi surged 4.4 per cent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose 1.3 per cent, Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained nearly half a per cent, China’s Shanghai Composite added over 0.2 per cent, and Taiwan’s Taiex rose marginally. In contrast, Singapore’s Strait Times index dipped over 0.2 per cent.
Major European indices were trading with losses today. France’s CAC 40 shed over 1.1 per cent, Germany’s DAX dipped 0.6 per cent, and London’s FTSE 100 dropped 0.1 per cent, when reports last came in.
