Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today said that ground assessment of the flood-affected areas of the state is currently underway and, after its completion, a detailed report will be submitted to the Central Government. He added that relief assistance will be provided as per SDRF and NDRF norms.
Along with Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Kiren Rijiju, the Chief Minister conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected districts of Keyi Panyor and East Siang.
Yesterday, Mr. Chouhan had chaired a high-level review meeting in Itanagar. The meeting reviewed relief and rehabilitation efforts in detail and issued necessary directions to ensure prompt assistance reaches every affected family, expedite damage assessment, and accelerate rehabilitation measures. Mr. Chouhan stressed that there should be no laxity at any level in the relief operations and called for close coordination between the Central and State Governments to restore normal life at the earliest.
