He said Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police must take up the issue in mission mode and ensure coordinated efforts at the district level.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Crime), Dr Joy Tirkey, presented a detailed overview of crimes against women and children in the state. He also briefed the Governor on “Project Abhaya – A Strategic Police-Public Trust, Awareness and Community Safety Initiative.”
