Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that a ground assessment of the flood-affected areas across the state is currently underway, and a detailed report will be submitted to the Central Government upon its completion. He added that relief assistance will be provided in accordance with SDRF and NDRF norms. Speaking to Akashvani on the sidelines of the aerial survey of the flood-affected districts of Keyi Panyor and East Siang, along with Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Kiren Rijiju, the Chief Minister said that the State may require additional assistance from the Central Government in cases involving major infrastructure damage, including highways and roads. Mr. Khandu said Prime Minister Narendra Modi advised Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Kiren Rijiju to visit the flood-affected areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
