In Manipur, Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla today presented the 7th Governor’s Art Award to noted artist Yendrembam Ibochouba Singh in recognition of his contribution to the field of fine arts. The award was conferred at a solemn function held at the Cabinet Hall of the Chief Minister’s Office in Mantripukhri, Imphal East.
Before the presentation, the Governor reviewed paintings created by the awardee. Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, Art and Culture Minister Kh. Loken Singh, the Chief Secretary and other senior officials attended the function.
