Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal released the commemorative book titled “Rajbhasha Khand Ki Svarnim Yatra” in New Delhi on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of the Official Languages Wing of the Legislative Department today.
On the occasion, the Minister Meghwal congratulated the Secretary of the Legislative Department Rajiv Mani and Officials on completion of five decades of dedicated service. He also appreciated the efforts made by the Official Languages Wing in preserving and promoting the rich linguistic heritage while ensuring that legislative work is carried out with utmost precision, clarity and consistency in both Hindi and English.
The Ministry of Law and Justice said that the book released today chronicles the 50-year journey, achievements and significant milestones of the Official Languages Wing of the Legislative Department. It added that the book highlights the Wing’s contribution towards the promotion and progressive use of Hindi as the Official Language in the legislative domain. The book also reflects the institutional efforts made over the years for facilitating the use of Hindi in legislative work, making it citizen-centric, and for strengthening the bilingual character of legislative drafting and related activities.
The event was also attended by the retired officers of the Official Languages Wing Legislative Department, and they were felicitated by Mr Meghwal.
