In FIFA World Cup Football, defending champions Argentina defeated England 2-1 in the second semi-final at Atlanta Stadium in the United States to set up a title clash against Spain.

The first half ended goalless before Anthony Gordon put England ahead in the 55th minute. Argentina staged a dramatic comeback as Enzo Fernández equalised in the 85th minute, and Lautaro Martínez scored the winner in the 90th minute.

Argentina will now face Spain in the FIFA World Cup final on 19th July. The defending champions are aiming to retain the title they won in Qatar in 2022.
