Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Corporation Limited has synchronised 50,114 rooftop solar connections with the power grid under the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, with a total installed capacity of 180 megawatts.
APCPDCL Chairman and Managing Director P. Pullareddy said the Corporation had added 43,625 rooftop solar connections during the past year, taking the total from 6,489 in April 2025 to more than 50,000.
He said the achievement was made possible through sustained consumer awareness, continuous support from the application stage to grid synchronisation, and close coordination among officials, field staff and empanelled vendors.
Mr Pullareddy said APCPDCL would continue to accelerate rooftop solar adoption under the PM Surya Ghar scheme to promote clean energy and help consumers reduce their electricity bills.
