In Jammu and Kashmir, the annual Aghar Jitto Mela commenced today at Aghar Jitto village in Reasi district. Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Kumar Abhishek, inaugurated the event. The mela witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees, residents and visitors.
On the occasion, an awareness camp was organized by the Agriculture Department to educate farmers about various Central and UT Government schemes aimed at promoting modern farming practices, increasing productivity and enhancing farmers’ income. The mela, which will continue till June 30, features religious activities, cultural programmes and exhibitions by various government departments showcasing public welfare initiatives.
