Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Vivek Yadav has said that the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has identified 15.22 lakh deceased electors, 14.43 lakh electors who have permanently shifted to other constituencies, and 7.37 lakh electors with duplicate enrolments.

In a press release issued today, the Chief Electoral Officer said enumeration forms have been received from 3.71 crore electors, accounting for 89.22 per cent of the state’s total electorate of 4.16 crore.

He said house-to-house verification by Booth Level Officers has now covered all electors. Detailed lists of 44.89 lakh electors whose enumeration forms are yet to be received will be shared with recognised political parties and made available on the Chief Electoral Officer’s website.

Mr Yadav said the draft electoral roll will be published on July 31. He added that the public can file claims and objections for additions, deletions, and corrections to the draft electoral rolls from July 31 to August 30.
