Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu reviews preparations for International Yoga Day celebrations

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to organise Yogandhra-2026 on a grand scale across Andhra Pradesh, with a target of ensuring participation of one crore people from the state to the village level.
 
Reviewing preparations for International Yoga Day celebrations on June 21 at CM Camp Office in Amaravati the previous day, the Chief Minister approved a roadmap for a 14-day Yogandhra campaign to be held across the state from June 7.
 
As part of the initiative, a state-level yoga event with 25,000 participants will be organised in Amaravati on June 21.
 
The Chief Minister will take part in the programme, which will be held on the Krishna River bridge in the capital region.
 
District-level yoga events with around 1,000 participants each will also be conducted at district headquarters, with ministers and senior officials attending the programmes.
 
To support the campaign, the government plans to train an additional one lakh yoga trainers, adding to the existing 1.5 lakh trainers.
 
The campaign will be organised under the theme “One District, One Theme”, with 25 lakh rupees allocated to each district for conducting activities.
 
Special yoga sessions will be held at 56 major tourist destinations across the state, while yoga programmes will also be organised in parks, educational institutions, government offices, Swarna Ward offices and Swarna Gramam offices for 14 days.
