Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Calls for Revival of Joint Family System

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has stressed the need to revive the traditional joint family system, saying it helps children grow up with strong values and emotional support from grandparents and other family members. The Chief Minister made the remarks after administering polio drops to children at his camp office in Amaravati during the launch of the three-day Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme. He appealed to parents to ensure that all children receive their vaccinations on time.

Interacting with parents, Mr Naidu said childcare should not be the responsibility of mothers alone. He urged fathers and other family members to actively share parenting responsibilities.

Health Department officials said, the State aims to administer polio drops to nearly 49.2 lakh children below the age of five during the campaign.
