Andhra Pradesh Government today provided ex gratia of ten lakh rupees each to the families of the six fishermen who went missing after their fishing boat sank off the Visakhapatnam coast.

State Excise and Mines Minister Kollu Ravindra, along with District Collector Abhishek Kishore and Fisheries Commissioner Ram Shankar Naik, handed over cheques to the families at the Harbour Mechanised Boat Association building in Visakhapatnam. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the government acted immediately after receiving information about the incident and launched search operations with the support of the Indian Navy and Coast Guard.
