Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address the inaugural session of Hindi Diwas 2026 and the 6th All India Official Language Conference in Mumbai tomorrow.
The two-day conference, organised by the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs, will bring together scholars, litterateurs, educationists and senior government officials to discuss the promotion of Hindi and its coordination with other Indian languages.
During the inaugural session, Mr. Shah will present the Rajbhasha Gaurav and Rajbhasha Kirti Awards for 2025-26 to institutions and individuals for their outstanding contribution to the promotion and implementation of Hindi.
A special session will be held on the National Song, “Vande Mataram”, focusing on its historical, literary and cultural significance. The conference will also witness the launch of several books and publications, including a special issue of Rajbhasha Bharati dedicated to Vande Mataram.
