Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated several developmental initiatives under the auspices of the National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India (NCCF) at Kundara near Kollam in Keralam, aimed at ensuring women’s participation in the cooperative sector and strengthening women’s empowerment.
Giving fresh momentum to women-centric development, Union Minister Amit Shah inaugurated several key cooperative initiatives in Kundara in Keralam today. The Minister launched the logo for ‘Vanitham – She Mart Store’, a women-led cooperative marketing venture, and unveiled the new ‘Jana’ brand products being introduced into the market by NCCF.
The Minister also inaugurated the commercial distribution of quality Bharat Atta and Bharat Rice at subsidized rates, distributed free mini-seed kits to women farmers in connection with the International Year of Woman Farmer, and launched the sales of onions at subsidized price.
