Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has said that the investigation in the Air India Flight AI-171 accident case continues with diligence and professionalism in accordance with established national and international procedures.
In a social media post, Mr Naidu conveyed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic plane crash that occurred last year.
To mark one year since the tragic accident, which occurred shortly after take-off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, last year, the Minister assured that the Government remains committed to a thorough and objective determination of the causes of the accident and to further enhancing aviation safety.
Meanwhile, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has said that it remains committed to conducting a thorough, independent, objective and evidence-based investigation into the accident involving Air India Flight AI-171 which was operating from Ahmedabad to London.
The AAIB has issued an interim statement on the progress of investigation saying that the Final Report will be released upon completion of all investigative activities and the requisite international review.
