The Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Branch has arrested three persons from Rajasthan and Bihar for their alleged involvement in fraud and running scams related to the NEET exam. The Joint Commissioner of Police for Ahmedabad Crime Branch, Sharad Singhal, informed the media that two of the accused, apprehended from Rajasthan, were running social media channels falsely claiming to possess and sell papers for the upcoming re-examination of NEET.
He explicitly clarified that the accused had not leaked any official papers but were using misleading advertisements on social media to dupe students. The third accused, arrested in Bihar, was operating a separate scam targeting candidates by fraudulently promising refunds on NEET examination fees. Further investigation into the network of these interstate fraudsters is currently underway.
