In Boxing, Aditya has become the first Indian male boxer to secure a medal at the ongoing World Boxing U-19 Championships in Budva, Montenegro.

He defeated Italy’s Tommaso Orlando by a unanimous 5-nil decision to enter the men’s 55-kilogram semifinals today. Aditya will face Azerbaijan’s Nihat Gasimov in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Megha Sheokand in the women’s 80-kilogram category and Prachi Tokas in the women’s 57-kilogram category have also reached the semifinals, assuring India of medals in both events.
