The 5th Kautilya Economic Conclave will be held from this Saturday in New Delhi, under the theme of ‘Resilience in an Age of Flux’. The Ministry of Finance said that the three-day gathering will bring together more than 180 policymakers, economists, academics, financial experts and international thought leaders, including over 80 international participants from around 30 countries.
The Ministry added that the Conclave will feature plenary sessions, interactive parallel sessions and roundtables. The roundtables will focus on issues including attracting foreign direct investment and mobilising domestic capital for long-term investment. The Ministry said that these roundtables will provide opportunities for more focused exchanges among policymakers, economists, investors and practitioners.
Vice President C P Radhakrishnan will deliver the inaugural address on the first day of the conclave. The conclave will also witness addresses from Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and other Union Ministers. The Ministry informed that the conclave will also feature a special address by the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Sanjay Malhotra.
