52nd G7 Summit begins in France with theme “Working Together to Address Major International Challenges”

 
The 52nd G7 Summit began in Evian, France yesterday, with leaders of the world’s leading economies holding discussions on major international challenges. French President Emmanuel Macron hosted working dinner on the theme, “Working Together to Address Major International Challenges.”  Earlier, Mr Macron formally welcomed the leaders of the G7 countries, including US President Donald Trump, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa at the summit. During the three day summit, the leaders are expected to deliberate on reducing global imbalances, addressing major geopolitical crises, issues related to children, and strengthening the fight against organized crime and illicit flows. The G7 Summit is an international forum held annually for the leaders of the G7 member States of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US.
