A total of 370 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs were made operational across Delhi during 2025-26 under centrally sponsored healthcare schemes aimed at expanding accessible and preventive healthcare services. The Delhi government has clarified that the development and operationalisation of these centres have been carried out strictly in accordance with the financial norms, technical guidelines and approved funding prescribed by the Central Government.
It stated that the media reports suggesting that expenditures exceeded approved norms are factually incorrect. Reacting to the matter, Delhi Health Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh said that the healthcare infrastructure expansion in the national capital is being implemented with complete transparency and strict adherence to the central government’s guidelines.
