Voting for the Kedarnath assembly seat in Uttarakhand is proceeding peacefully, with 17.69 percent voter turnout recorded so far. A total of 90,875 registered voters in this constituency will determine the outcome for the six candidates contesting the election.

        This by-election was necessitated following the demise of BJP MLA Shailarani Rawat in July earlier this year.
