The Centre today said that during the current financial year around 12,000 complaints related to labour disputes and employment have been registered on the SAMADHAN portal.

Replying to a question in Lok Sabha, Labour and Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya informed that out of these complaints 7262 were disposed of.

The Union Minister informed that under the Payment of Gratuity Act, Minimum Wages Act, Maternity Benefit Act, Equal Remuneration Act and Payment of Wages Act more than 21,000 claims were registered and 8815 were disposed of by the authorities.

He also added that in terms of General complaints 8725 objections were received in the period on the SAMADHAN portal and out of these around 5000 complaints were redressed.
