In Nagaland, the 10th Edition of the Capt (Late) N Kenguruse, Mahavir Chakra Memorial Football Tournament 2026-27 will be held from November 2 to 10. The tournament will be conducted under the aegis of Spear Corps and Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), in collaboration with the Nagaland Football Association and supported by the Kohima District Football Association and Chümoukedima District Football Association.

 

A total of 20 teams are expected to participate, divided into four pools of five teams each.  Matches will be played at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, and Chümoukedima Football Stadium. The tournament carries a total prize pool of 8.69 lakh rupees. Registrations will open today and close at 08:00 PM on 30 September. The tournament will culminate with the closing ceremony on November 10. The milestone edition seeks to celebrate football, inspire young talent and carry forward the values of courage, dedication and sportsmanship associated with the late Captain N. Kenguruse.
