Yesterday, Royal Challengers Bangalore thrashed defending champions Mumbai Indians by seven wickets to qualify for the play-offs. Put into bat first, Mumbai were bundled out for 113 runs in 19 overs, following star bowler Ellyse Perry’s historic first-ever six-wicket haul in the Women’s Premier League.

In reply, Bangalore overhauled the target in just 15 overs with the help of Aussie all-rounder Perry’s unbeaten 40 runs.

With this win, Royal Challengers Bangalore ended their campaign in third spot, with four wins and four losses and a total of eight points. They will be playing the eliminator clash against either Mumbai Indians or Delhi Capitals. Mumbai are at the second spot with five wins and three losses and a total of 10 points.
