Batting first, Mumbai Indians posted a total of 149 for 7, powered by captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s impressive 66 off 44 balls. Nat Sciver-Brunt also contributed a crucial 30 runs, helping MI recover after an early setback. Marizanne Kapp was the standout bowler for Delhi Capitals, delivering exceptional figures of 2 for 11 in her four overs. 

Earlier, Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl. For Delhi, Marizanne Kapp, Jess Jonassen and Nallapureddy Charani scalped two wickets each.

This match marks a rematch of the inaugural WPL final in 2023, where Mumbai Indians emerged victorious by seven wickets. While MI, under Harmanpreet Kaur’s leadership, aim for their second consecutive WPL trophy, Delhi Capitals, having fallen short twice, are determined to claim their maiden title under Meg Lanning.
